It's not just her best friend. It's literally all her friends. Even her adopted mother (or whatever that lady is). "If you don't remember me, I may as well act like you don't exist." It's just terrible writing.
I haven’t watched since Season 1 but regarding the trilogy

Amnesia was more like collective memory loss or memory wipe, used to control the population by not letting them build up a big historical foundation or attachment. If I remember it was very much a destroy cultural identity type of thing to keep populations docile and controlled. They did some selective individual stuff in the main Silo to those workers so they wouldn’t remember how they got there / the event, and also so they wouldn’t remember killing whole populations and could keep pushing buttons.

Been a while since I read them though.

Ep 4.

Amnesia is pretty much over and done with. Seems like Simms is betraying his wife to help Juliette, or him knowing where she was wouldn't make any sense. He was there to help her, but she didn't give him any time to explain.

Well they decided to cram all the interesting, plot moving stuff into this single episode after 3 episodes of dog shit. I don't know why they do this. Spread it out so I don't start hating your show midway through the season.

This was recommended to me but seems really boring. It's generic fallout but instead of interesting content it's just people sitting around talking the entire episode? Literally just goes from one room to another with people talking. Doing nothing.

Rasheed Jones is really uggo and the love scenes with her grown up Webster looking boyfriend are terrible.

Finished ep 5

is this still worth it? It’s so boring… the congressman story is so damn lame and dominates so much screen time, I can’t possible see any connection that be worth this much meh.

oh they made the silo? Oh it’s Juliette grandpa
Oh it’s the magic duck pez from time forgotten .

This is some grade A bullshit,

do I continue???

Why are you asking a forum if you should continue watching something you are clearly not enjoying?

I think you have answered your own question.

If you didn't like the ending of
BSG's scattering off into the wilderness
then it's safe to dip out.

That episode was pretty painful to watch. The comment about the Congressman really nails it, where we had like 20 minutes of them just sitting in a car where nothing interesting happened. Plus we're back to drawing out the Silo storyline without a whole lot of forward momentum.

I also think it's suffering from Camille being a terrible character. I do enjoy her being the head of their house even though her husband was previously head of Judicial. Now he's just a little bitch taking orders from his wife, while she runs the Silo and disciplines their son.

the show is 1-2 movies stretched out to 3 seasons, literally everything thats happened in season 2 so far coulda been done better in 2 hours

need to clear the boards, there are way too many characters on the show and the only person we really want to follow is juliette

It’s obvious at this point shows are built to be barely good enough to watch by slow rolling plots never meant to be resolved while popularity continues.

rust and Marty would still be looking for carcosa in 2026.

I caught up with this. It's definitely a slow burn type of show. That said I keep being surprised when the episode end because it went by fast for so a slow show.

I generally just enjoy the storylines and the mystery of the silos, what happened exactly.

So basically is this all an allegory for the Old Testament? Some written law and code that's 100% just for populating a culture and preserving a society with a bunch of various do and do nots that were largely writ just because of stuff like health and hygene? Like The Pact is basically just an alernate Leviticus or something with obsolete stuff that existed for a reason it just doesn't specifically mention and just has wrathful punishment for breaking? That's kind of what I'm getting. The law and order to keep "humans" alive at all costs, but not having much of a human society really worth living in.
