Arsenal win, fuck off Stoke. Hate those fags.... Chelski's defense is indeed a less dramatic Arsenal - they are terrible, and Terry is well, well past it. Newcastle's new signings looked good, and Monreal for Arsenal hardly put a foot wrong. Begovic was class for Stoke today, and had some brilliant saves.

Liverpool fans.. Any of you who can call Gerrard and tell him not to score any own goals tomorrow?

Oh and winning the match would be cool too.

It's actually pretty interesting where in the beginning of the season you'd almost say Gerrard was our weakest link with giving away balls in the worst possible part of the pitch to now where he's the hub of the side and almost has to play. You could have made a pretty compelling argument up until December that he shouldn't have even been starting anymore.

LPool is playing well and should be ahead in this.

Also, after the Spurs game earlier Jamie Redknapp (with a straight face) said Bale is right up there behind Messi and Ronaldo as the best 3 players in the world.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. What a fucking fag.

Ya, Liverpool can keep Reina LOL. What the fuck is he thinking there? After that RIDICULOUS Gerrard strike. Liverpool are working City, but one moment of madness changes the game entirely.

As a Spurs fan, Bale is indeed a fantastic left winger but I agree that he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as those two players. Against normal teams, he can really shine but against the strong teams who double up on him, he tends to struggle a lot and finds himself not being involved in the game.

Saying that, I still think he is one of the best left wingers in the world though.

Yup. City just doesn't look like a good team without Toure marshaling the MF - certainly not title winners. Might be a little early to give it to Manc, but its looking really likely. Great game - Liverpool has to be disappointed not winning that, as they dominated start to finish.

I agree with that as well, and think he "might" be one of the top 3-5 players in the BPL (Silva, Mata, RVP, Suarez, Toure, are all there as well) - but to say with a straight face he is "right behind" Messi/Ronaldo is fucking insane. If he was Croatian or something Redknapp wouldn't even think of saying so idiotic.

For the right amount of funds they can have him, he's not as good as he used to be. The Walcott shot yesterday was one he would have saved pretty easily 2 or 3 years ago.
Uhh yeah about Reina..... Haven't even seen the LFC or RAWK forums yet but I'm sure they're in melt down mode. What a fucking blunder, not sure which one is worse this one or the one at Anfield where Skrtel passed it right to Tevez. Should be 6 points against ManC and instead it's 2, lame......

Edit: As far as Bale, he's definitely at the top as far as left sided players but there are so many players just in the EPL you would take over him that to say he's up there with Messi and Ronaldo is a joke.

Thanks Liverpool and to whoever gave Gerrard a ring.

Ivory Coast also got knocked out of ACON, so Toure will be back soon.

Liverpool... seriously? Maybe spend some money to actually get some proper players

My prediction is that Liverpool misses out on top 4 this season but not by much.

They will be much stronger next season if they get upgrades in certain areas such as left wing, goalkeeper and another CB as replacement for Carragher

According to the BBC:

Pepe Reina has made eight errors leading directly to goals in the Premier League since the start of last season.
Really good game. It's kind of remarkable how far City have fallen from last year. Even with Yaya, they look nothing like last year's team.

As for Liverpool, I think Suarez might need a week off. His touch was off and he really looked tired when he made some runs down the wing. There was also a serious deficiency of Red shirts inside the box. Anytime Downing or Enriquez were in a crossing position, it was 1 or 2 v 5 inside the box, and there was little combination at the top of the box. As much as they dominated, the only real scoring threats Liverpool created came from long distance bombs and set pieces. I can't see them picking up 9 points and getting 4th this year, but if they keep everyone together they should get it next year, imo. Henderson in particular is starting to look really useful.

This is from Opta and it also notes it's the worst for any goalie in the Prem. The LFC forums are pretty mixed on support but at this point if we can get a good fee for him in the summer then it will probably be best for all involved to let him move on.

As far as CL, all of the teams above us have flaws in one area or another. I don't think any EPL team will make it to the semi's of the CL and I still think we have as good as chance as any to get into the top 4. Think we just have Chelsea left at Anfield and that's it with the rest being all teams we should beat at least on paper. I could certainly see LFC going on a strong run to end the year and giving it a good shot.

Edit: We also have Spurs at home but I would favor us at home.
