Pains me to see Mata in the position he's in, he was one of the most enjoyable players to watch last season for me. I want him to play regularly but not in a red jersey...

Fuck Chelsea - can't believe I'm going to agree with Ossoi on anything, but that logic seems sound to me... and utterly stupid from Maureens point of view. Surely it is better to try and kill United (Englands biggest club) than to give them any hope beyond this season, just in the off chance a Mata-Manc takes points off of Arsenal/City so United can slide into 4th place. As annoying as Arsenal selling Manc RVP was, at least he was in the last year of a contract and refusing to re-up... Mata being sold in January when there is every chance you can offload him in the summer to PSG for as much/more money seems pretty short sighted. If this goes through, I can't believe I'll actually cheer for LFC to get 4th and ANYONE but Chelshit to win the league.

Knocked out by Sunderland, what do you know. I suppose we'll hear now how Mata will propel them back into the CL. Considering they need half a team in new players then it would be pretty amazing if 1 single players sans Messi/Ronaldo turned around their ship to such a degree.
Arsenal have an absolutely brutal fixture list coming up, especially mid/late March.

Mata was a desperation move, by a desperate club, with a desperate manager. Chelsea sold because he ain't playing for them and ManU offered a ton at 45m euros.
Regardless needing 7 points to clear Liverpool and having Spurs and Everton ahead also. United is still most likely finishing 6-7th. Those problems run deeper then one guy can fix. They simply have not been good thus far this year.

Heh, didn't see Darkseid post. Would have to agree I don't see Mata changing ManU's overall season, going to take a small miracle to get top 4 at this point.
As far as LFC, think 3-0 is a bit harsh on Everton but we look so dangerous on the break it's not even funny. I wouldn't expect LFC to add anybody by Friday which is rather disappointing but it's hard to say who's fault that is. Guess we'll know shortly but for now lets just see LFC finish this one out.
