The US has never had this kind of finishing in the World Cup before. This is awesome.
I mean, it's also Paraguay. Their only decent player is probably Diego Gomez.

US squad is super mid. I watched a ton of Reyna and Pulisic being a Dortmund fan and Reyna has chops, but he just plays so fucking timid all the time, especially as a midfielder. Pulisic is the same way - in that he has skill, but I feel like he's really poor at creating his own chances most of the time. He has to be spoon fed everything and the US doesn't have the MFs for that.

Had a notice on my USPS tracking there may be delays due to the world cup events and their impact on shipping. Seems like that was wishful thinking.

The small town near me had a guy that made the US olympic team for soccer several years ago. From the news report I don't think anyone had heard of him. They interviewed a number of people and nobody had heard of him including people that were in his graduating class at school.

Huge win for the socceroos.
Couldn't be happier.

A little disappointing that this world cup is such a farce that one good win might be enough to get through the group stage.

Germany lookin' stronk, even though it's against a total shitter.

Cool seeing Schlotterbeck and Nmecha get goals.

Was a fun match between Netherlands & Japan. I don't see the US getting out of the group stage. Brazil looked pretty flat vs. Morocco. Hopefully Spain puts on a good show today.
