Getting to see the weaker teams play that would normally never have the oppertunity too at this stage (USA, Congo, Panama etc) is a good thing for the spirit of the game.

I couldn't believe paraguay were happy to draw against Australia knowing they would probably face Germany, but it seems to have paid off for them !
