Soccer is the stupidest fucking game on earth. Grown men flopping and rolling on the ground like faggots, and players getting thrown out for the "serious foul" of stepping on the back of his foot while going for the ball.

Offsides in soccer is also the stupidest concept in any major sport by such a wide margin that it alone makes the whole sport worthless.

God forbid you create an advantage by....getting behind the defense successfully.

Stepping on someone's heel during a bang-bang play.....dangerous, serious foul: red card.

Blatantly pushing the opposing keeper down after the play was done and he clearly has the ball held and bouncing his head off the turf....nothing, no foul.

Offsides is easier to understand in Hockey than it is in Soccer. The offsides line in hockey doesn't move, but it does in soccer which I think is retarded. The always moving line is there to stifle offense.

Things I don't understand:

1. Why are opposing players left unguarded when they're near the defender's goal. Why are you guarding space instead of taking a man when we see so many times players receive a pass, then turn and shoot before any defender gets near.

2. Why are players afraid of the ball. It was worse in the first round, but choosing players to man the wall or play defense just to see them cower and dive out of the way when a shot is taken is pathetic.

3. Yes the offside trap is gay, I always hated playing it because the linesman could never be trusted to be in a position to call it. Even gayer is when pro players jog after the forward that blew by their trap, and instead of sprinting to save their goalie they look towards the lineman and raise their arms for offside. I love when the linemen just say fuck you, enjoy your gay-ass trap that just got exposed, faggot.

but given your typical NFL game telecasts last twice as long with 10 times as many ads, the viewing minutes and value is on a completely different level.
