USA was in a shit group that made them feel like they were in with a chance. Once they come up against a real team reality comes crashing down real quick.

It's like Australia (although USA are at least better than us at soccer), we occasionally make the knockout stages and the media goes into a hype train until we run into Italy, Argentina, EGYPT??? Oh yeah I remember, we suck at this sport.

I actually enjoy watching the sport though so I dont care too much that we got kicked out. Got up at 5am this morning to watch Spain vs Portugal, what a great game even though it still feels like Spain haven't fully clicked into gear yet.

When Bundesliga starts again and I inevitably rage at Dortmund's defenders, I'm going to put on this game and remember that it could be a helluva lot worse.

US team did ok with what they had.

Looking forward to the game against Spain, we'll probably lose but you never know. Reaching quarter finals is a nice result for Belgium anyway.

No one that follows soccer gave two shits about the red card reversal. It is all TDS and clickbait.

This guy is just insane, greatest athlete of all time. Played like shite, gets one chance, buries it. CR7 throws his tv in the pool in rage while rubbing baby oil on his ass

Will a world cup win negate a quarter million girls being raped?

Britain is already pretending it didn't happen, nothing to negate. Amazing how news not covering something just makes it sort of evaporate eventually.

I hope the Iranian players don't all get executed when they get back to Iran for failing to win or whatever.

I was in one of the host cities all weekend, did a July 4th cruise, talked to a lot of Europeans, and literally all of them were saying how great the U.S. is and how much nicer Americans are than they thought. Almost like they've been propagandized with around-the-clock bullshit about how awful and terrible the US is.
