I was looking at the table and thinking that things aren't that bad for Liverpool. We've scored the equal highest number of goals and while the leaky defence is a concern, that's something that could be fixed and isn't too bad when you're pounding them in like we did couple season back when we finished second.

Then I realised I was looking at Leicester, who are one place above us. fml

I think the issue is LFC has nothing to rely on. There's no way Rodgers can claim the purchases this summer were for a 3 at the back, yet here he is again reverting to it and not only that spouting off in the press that if he has top players he can compete. Then what has he been buying if that's the case? It just leaves you with no feeling that he can actually sustain anything, first set back or Sturridge injury at the back 3 will go out and it will be square one again.

I love the fact that Mourinho is losing his shit and constantly attacking Wenger. His whole "specialist in failure" comment last year got under my skin a bit. Just because it was so rude for no reason, but this year his comments are just laughable. Although unlikely I hope he Abramovich sacks him.

Here's an APLT for the entire league, interesting view

Does it really make sense to say that winning at home vs City is an 'Easier' fixture than away against West Brom.

In that context no it doesn't make sense. The points are the points, the table doesn't lie. Certainly would be more difficult and time consuming to rank them based on perceived difficulty but a top 4/league champion chasing team should be winning almost all of their home games anyway which is kind of the point.

I'd settle for a top 3 finish for Everton this year, I like the looks of the APLT as well as this Everton team. Last year they would have folded down 2-0 and gone away with no points. Nice to see some fire in their game.

Peak Arsenal. No biggie though, $200m in the bank and a beaut net spend! Is it summer again? At least in July, all things seem possible......

From that display, Arsenal don't just need a striker. They need a CB, LB, CM, CDM, RW, ST and new manager. At this point, another FA Cup doesn't register really... should be pushing on, but it seems average football club is pretty apt.

FUCK

I can't for the life of me understand why Ospina was in goal for Arsenal. Why bother buying one of the best keepers in the world and then play that guy instead?

Another day another embarrassment being an arsenal supporter.

We'll beat ManU and all will be forgotten.

How the fuck do we lose 2 games against 2 teams in which none of their players would make our starting 11? I gotta look at the Wenger for that.

We are breaking all the wrong records. Zagreb haven't won a champions league game since 1999, Olympiacos rolls in who haven't won in England in 15 games ... and we lost both. They scored what ... 3 goals in all those 15 games and they score 3 against us. WHAT THE FUCK!?

My want to support EPL teams in the CL is dwindling even if it may mean LFC has it even harder in the future. This is just hilarious.

Everyone apart from Wenger is baffled too.

Resting him in preparation for the Europa League maybe?

I think we lose to manc 2-1 through some bullshit goal, broken cannons etc then win a few on the trot, play bayern close then lose again in hilarious fashion, repeat ad nauseum ....

Neki, not sure anyone could have seen club through stadium years better than wenger, but now, given funds, prices, expectations I struggle to believe this is the best we can do. Maybe klopp or someone comes in and the team performs worse - fair fucks, but I'm ready for a new start either way... At least it will be interesting one way or another. Now, it's all just a bit boring - we all knew how season would play out before a ball was kicked.... Maybe he wins league this season miraculously or something (lulz) - even then, things need to be shaken up in a major way.

Plus, once romo gets back I can pretend to forget about fucking ospina again until January

Tonight, Germany will bomb both Manchesters
I kinda think the opposite and both Manchester teams will beat their German opposition.

Meh, I'm willing to 1 week avatar bet that Utd will beat Wolfsburg tonight. Up for it?

1st in the PL vs 4th in the Bundaliga is quite even but given the form of the English teams in the CL this year, I think it's pretty close match.

I predict Man City is going to draw their match against Monchengladbach tonight after second thoughts even taking in the fact that their opponents are on a poor run of form and are in the bottom half of the league table. City have so many injuries to key players and are just so shit in Europe in general.
