It looks like one of those movies I will have trouble watching. I'd be ok working in the office busting people but sitting in a theater is too much. I knew an FBI guy a long time ago that did this work and he said burnout was common. Typically people would start all gung ho and then start losing sleep and drinking a lot. I remember it pretty distinctly because a bust came up in our college paper and he was the one that got me up to speed on the whole business.

Hell of a heavy subject matter.

Absolute praise and thanks go to people doing this kind of work.

Sounds like the type of movie to support if it even puts a slight dent in whats going on in the world. Yeah its a tough subject matter but its what 2 hours of your time. If its too much for you to watch consider possibly donating your ticket to that pay it forward site.

Lot of interviews with him floating around over the past couple of weeks. This is obviously a labor of love project, even if you don't pull love the subject matter. In a normal world something like this might be up for an oscar but we all know how that goes. Caviesel really does seem like a genuinely good person, which I guess is pretty rare in Hollywood nowadays.

I don't understand* why child trafficking is such a subject that the mainstream (Oscars etc) doesn't want anything to do with. Mostly only seeing right-leaning outlets even talking about it. Seems concern about it should be a pretty universal thing rather than a partisan political thing.

* - Course I do understand, cause like Ricky Gervais said at that one Hollywood event "I know Epstein was good friends with all of you guys"

People of similar mind should spend their money on this movie instead of Indiana Jones this weekend, send a message.

It has more prepurchased tickets than Indiana Jones.

kevin james

Damn, I've always hated Kevin James' guts for some reason, but now I'll have to revise that. I think I had "stepdad you hate" syndrome with him because he kind of replaced Chris Farley in the "Sandler crew" and Farley is basically irreplaceable, much less by a giant talentless turd like Kevin James.

Alright alright, I'll squash the beef, Kevin James is okay with me.

Saw this tonight. Definitely hard to watch but the message is the most important thing right now. More people need to see this. They have a "pay it forward" thing set up so you can buy tickets for strangers.

Earlier today Peterson put out an interview he did with Caviezel and Ballard.

I saw this with my wife on the 3rd and it was a heavy film. I'm not a religious man, but you don't have to be to understand and rally behind the message. Obviously, I already knew this was happening, but I genuinely feel powerless to stop it. Vigilantism will only get you killed or a lengthy prison sentence. Donations rarely, if ever, end up in the right hands, and I have nearly zero faith in governmental institutions.

Where does that leave people like myself that ache to help, but aren't committed enough to dedicate our lives to this singular cause?

Regardless, the amount of hate this movie is getting from Leftists is not the least bit surprising, but still despicable. Also, their cope levels are off the charts. I've seen everything from "Pedophelia isn't in the top 100 problems of the world" to "Sound of Freedom is porn for MAGAtards and Qanon wackjobs" and everything in between.

The people that eagerly turn a blind eye or continually lie to themselves in defense of their ideology are the very people that I will have zero sympathy for if there ever comes a time when they're on their knees staring down a barrel.

Boom.

i dont like him much either. my dad made me watch that Paul Blart thing with him. he literally used the shitty movies i encouraged him to watch with me as a reason i have to see PB with him. then he got mad that i fell asleep during it. that said, i dont have a problem with him as a person. never heard he was wokester. in fact, if he is with the Sandler crew, then he is probably a conservative. Sandler is surprisingly pretty based.

I think historically they leaned left a bit, but were also based and sensible. At least that's the vibe I get from Sandler. Nowayears they might all be leaning right, I don't know.

Chris Rock - Left-ish but also frequently thinks they're full of crap
Rob Schneider - Fully switched teams to red
David Spade - I actually have no idea

Rock isnt leftist, so much as he is pro black everything. many black people have that victimhood thing going on, its hard to shake and he cant really dismiss it either because then he loses his black audience. the two longtime black friends i have are conservatives, but they still do the support black people no matter what, thing. i'm pretty sure Sandler is MAGA. Spade is probably a conservative too, or a blue dog dem. all his crew are right leaning. even Norm.

Don't make the same mistake and assume they became conservative. People don't change that much. Rather, liberalism invariably pushes social norms to the left so by time one is middle aged, the things they associate with good moral behavior are automatically now right wing.

Alright, but I think Sandler and crew were right leaning before the woke era. Probably during the Clinton admin. A lot of comedians are right of center. Dice, Bob Saget, Gilbert, Dan Ackroyd. If he counts as a comedian.

Amazing $14.3 million opening day, beating out Indy 5.

Even if this is super front loaded, that's impressive. If it has any legs at all, it's going to be one of the biggest financial hits of the summer (it only had a $15M budget).

Dennis Miller is another one who comes to mind. I forgot how many comedians lean right because the last few years it's been such a rite of passage that they have to all be outwardly left to fit in with the "comedian community" and still get roles in all of the stupid ensemble comedies like Ladies' Night.

Kind of interesting that a movie that has gotten very little hype/publicity managed to beat Indiana Jones and the Dial of Disaster, despite Dial getting hyped everywhere I look. It's not even surprising at this point. These studios have lost the plot and don't have their finger on the pulse of the actual zeitgeist anymore. I think it's becoming clearer that the last couple years have been fake zeitgeist after fake zeitgeist supported by a small minority of the actual population.
