Same thing happened with Pierce Brosman.
Goldeneye was an amazing movie. Every movie after that... just kept getting worse, with one exception. Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day, my God. They actually had a North Korean villain who was a white guy, wtf! Though I did like The World Is Not Enough.
Casino Royale was a great movie. As a poker player the poker scenes made me cringe. The chance that a hand would ever play out like the final hand is like 1 in 10,000,000, and there's no bluffing, reading people, folding, or doing anything but just getting your chips in and losing because of the strength of the hands. Every movie after that... just kept getting worse, with one exception. Olga Kurylenko is fucking beautiful. Skyfall was good, and then Spectre just made me cringe.
Daniel Craig is just not Bond to me. Pierce Brosman seemed the most 'Bond'-like person to me, and he's not to blame for the terrible scripts following Goldeneye. Maybe that's because I grew up watching him? Sean Connery is my second favorite. Roger Moore - too old, Dalton - no gravitas.
