this is a mix of spectacular spiderman, 90s cartoon, and the Changes comic run. Almost certain Scorp. is becoming Venom just like the comics. Assuming Peter encountered the leftover symbiotic piece from previous film and confirmed there is a 4 year gap, so plenty of time for infection to brew and amp his spider genetics, this causes the man-spider to come out and is rebirthed. Banner helps peter(Dr.connors from 90s cartoon) to help isolate the infection. By the end of the movie we'll see either peter "temp cured" or killed off. Black suit is a requirement for Doom's next movie so we will see it sooner than later, Peter is either resurrected and or uses the blacksuit during the Avengers movie and discards it by the end, but it finds Scorp. Queue the next solo spider man film: spiderman vs venom. Hell, the red head escaping from the prison scene in the trailer could even be Carnage. They really set it up.. Shit like Black Suit Spider-Man vs. RDJ’s Doctor Doom showdown in secret wars.

absolute best way they could wrap up this memory wipe arc.

The whole world has forgotten him but Parker still remembers and is troubled by it. But then he meets the real Mary Jane - white, pretty, red hair, big honkin boobs. He never thinks about the fake MJ again. The end.

Rewatching the trailer, I wonder if it was hinting at Spider-Man's evolution era where he grew extra arms. That would be something else.

I am over the Zendaya MJ arc. This will be the 4th movie about it. Imagine if every single Spider-Man movie he was fighting Vulture every movie. Time to move on.

In the current Spider-Man 2025-2026 run by Jonathan Hickman, MJ is back to looking normal.

Kirsten Dunst as MJ and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy were faptacular casting choices. Zendaya..... not so much.

2026 brought back the Ultimate Universe? That was some of my favorite comics in history. Almost all of it was great.

It's actually pretty good. You can download it for free here and read it on an ipad or iphone using the "Panels" app (free). I'm sure there are other versions of windows/android stuff.


Also, I wouldn't sleep on Donny Cates' Venom run. It was very good. One of the only good runs that came out of Marvel the last few years.

edit: jesus christ now that i look at a list of movies it's probably the best movie since Endgame
