He fought himself more than an actual main villian
One of the most basic core things about Spiderman (from his creation) was that it's the story of Peter Parker dealing with growing up
as well as dealing with spider induced mutation. Him struggling with the changes as he "grows into adulthood" was kinda the main point. BTW, "grows into adulthood" is the main theme of this and cause for some of the things you didn't like. Peter had to struggle with maturing biologically (the advancing mutation), emotionally (dealing with MJ/Ned situations), and as a hero (Figuring how how to solve the problem with his mind instead of web/fists.) That was literally the core of the story, and one thing I felt made it a more complete film past the usual three act formulaic generic Marvel MCU feature.

The montage at the first was establishing the passage of time (back to "growing into adulthood), the fact that many other battles were with "mooks" was establishing that there was a bigger/more complicated villain involved. The entire montage up front was to make sure you knew it's been YEARS since Spiderman 2 and they've all gotten into new young adult grooves rather than highschoolers.
Seeing real hulk was nice but that was a flash in the pan
Gonna have to agree with you on this one some, it's one of my gripes in general with the MCU is that they seem to have lost their way with this character. Although "Hulk was mind controlled" was one of the few ways to get a real Spiderman v. Hulk fight in which was definitely rewarding. I think it was Hulks overall power that let him force her out, my bet is off screen she slipped Banner on like a loose fitting robe. But the more Hulk she manifested, the more resistance she got.

Meh, a black woman being a detective in NYC isn't out of the ordinary at all, and was there to show how he's working with the police and mostly loved by the city. That's Spiderman's thing. Also to build the contrast between him and Punisher.

I think they've realized that for characters with a known fan base and presence, especially ones who have (in other multiverses) been in movies already they've realized audiences just don't yearn for a billion more origin stories. They hinted at things, and will probably backfill her origin in the Xmen reboot.

We don't know it doesn't exist yet. We didn't know there had been previous Sorcerer Supremes until Dr Strange, but apparently it's gone back centuries. They have yet to establish what causes the mass emergence of the X gene in this universe. (A lot of suspicion of "there have been multiple global massive pulses of cosmic energy happening on this particular planet (infinity stones being used) and that triggered it at scale" might be it). I suspect we're going to get "mutants have happened in the past but very few and very far between, now it's become far more common". Charles may already be living in upstate NY, but not have converted it into the school yet, or is just starting the school. We just don't know yet.

This was the other many riff of the "Spiderman is growing up" theme. For one of the first times (he hasn't had to fight Kingpin yet) he had to fight an enemy that was beyond just "shoot a bunch of web and punch bad guy/disable technical gizmo they're wearing". Again, all plot lines had that common thing "Peter growing up, and evolving"
I don't know if your download was a telesync/cam/actual leak, but I will also say the cinematography of the fight sequences were really engaging to get to watch on the big screen, but that might just be me.
