Efap and friends didn't have much nice to say.

this is maulers specifically. but platoon, and others all agree.

-jean is evil and the movie doesn't seem to realize that. she gleefully, purposely killed, or attempted to kill alot of people. like actual torture for MJ. who was one moment in her apartment alone, next second about to face plant on the ground. at very least maimed thousands in the tank, explosion and mind control freeze. but oh, her sister was missing. totally justified. "shes not a killer." despite, you know, killing innocent people with glee for no reason.
-total character assassination of peter and punisher revolving around that.
-completely undoes and resets everything the last few movies were building up to. all his sacrifices and growing up. undone. selfish.
-4 year time skip for adult peter. do nothing with it.
-peter is trask in this... he creates mutant suppression chips, creates a mutant tracker with ned, creates A.I for it. And gave it to the government. Bro invented Sentinals.
-peter is rich/poor. supposed to be on his own, and strapped for cash. has millions of dollars with of tech, suit, a.i. 3d printer etc..
-coincidences drive the plot with Ned and MJ.

sure is making a lot of money though. "superhero fatigue" lol.

I look at Peter having money as cashing in on the police offering a cash reward for "info" leading to the capture of X Y Z. Since he just captures them theres no dancing around the payouts. I doubt that dude really hated the movie, he needs to "hate" on everything to keep eating.

Either way, great flick. Yep Jean is "evil" but if they go this way with mutants im fine with it. They should be like fuck the normies, thats what Prof X is for so they learn to not be. Anyone with that power and no guidance then losing your only family would probably do far worse.

Was good. Blah. I saw it in 3D-DBOX-XD, Action scenes were fantastic. Any time MJ or Ned or Yelana are on screen feel free to take a piss or get your soda refilled. So much terrible unnecessary crappy dialogue. I almost fell asleep 3 or 4 times. The ending was very weak. A lot of again stupid dialogue between Spidey and Jean. Jean was retarded in this. Here I thought it was some cosmic entity. No it's just Jean. Awakening the dark phoenix by reading the nameplate of an air conditioner.

Just got back.

It's the weakest in the series by far. It could have been a half hour shorter as well. It just dragged in some places. Post credit was trash.

I enjoyed it, not sure where I would rank it in the Holland Spidey movies, but I think I liked it more than Far From Home.

Annoyed it ended on the tease of Ned remembering him so we got no payoff for that, but whatever, I guess.

Saying it's the weakest is a tough one to get behind or people putting Homecoming above Far from home is a head scratcher but whatever, I've enjoyed all 4 of Hollands run

Something positive to say from those last comments

for movie runs

- Tobey crashed and ended with his 3rd movie
- Garfield never got going
- Holland has not crashed as all four are entertaining and not straight up garbage meme level

- Iron Man was garbage after the first
- Thor crashed on its fourth with love
- cap had an avengers level movie for its third but all three were good

- Batman ended with bale into sparkle Batman and Superman is DOA

so hollands spidey could be all time especially if he pulls off another 2-3 movies and goes out Tom Brady style

if he had a hot as fuck MJ and wasn’t buddy up with tub tub then easily the goat

I think we just became friends. The last Thor, Antman and Dr strange movies made me forget the prior films. Thankfully i didn't watch Love and thunder In a theatre, I actually was pissed trying to watch that movie.

Love and thunder ruined everything for me as far as that director, I don't care he did Ragnorok, What we do in the shadows, jojo Rabbit. He was behind Love and Love And Thunder which I still never fully watched

Ragnarok and GOTG are probably my two most rewatchable Marvel movies

I think that is a tease for Battleworld. Like if two of em had a real connection there was a way to overcome the "forgetting" spell I assume Doom will have Strange use on everyone. As for what that says about MJ... lol

I was pretty underwhelmed at this one, seems like I am in the minority. I really disliked the Jean Grey adaptation, felt out of character based on my decades of expectations. Not to mention a telepath is a tad boring enemy for a physical Spider-Man. Hulk part was a neat exception but very short. Felt like weak mutant intro into the mcu. Don’t get me started on the MJ love story which is grating and full at this point

Felt like nothing new besides some mutation stuff which really only scratched the surface.

I can’t see myself rewatching anytime soon

I always hated the Jean Grey stuff especially the phoenix story and this I liked.

If you are an X-men nerd then yeah Jean Grey stuff if gonna piss you off, but even the x-men movies can’t do justice to Jean Grey or the phoenix plotline and they have tried it multiple times and have all ended up as dumpster fires.

Famke was hot 30 years ago and her Phoenix was bleh
Then they tried to make Sansa into the Phoenix and goddamn that was awful
Who knows what kind of shitshow this one will be but fact is the Phoenix is such a retardedly powerful character that your usual scaling in these things never make sense or end well.

You gotta turn your brain off and goyslop 2026 this shit. It’s the best of the best summer blockbuster one can expect from the fakest and gayest of timelines. Just accept the hokey bullshit this is Will Smith punching an alien “welcome to earff” and Randy Quaid blowing up death stars with a crop duster Independence Day popcorn flick.

I love X-Men but this didn't make me angry.

This is when shes young, before her powers truly manifest into something huge, which we see near the end of the movie. Xavier is probably out doing whatever, maybe tracking down Colossus or Nightcrawler or whomever at this time, and once her powers explode, the Professor is like "wtf?" before going to find her. Its before he has the Blackbird and before he has Cerebro so they are just out there trying to track down people based off stories they are hearing about them while traveling commercial air.

Or, at least, this is what I tell myself? I dunno, it just didn't bother me since she was so young.

I really liked the Spider-Man parts of the movie, especially the first person swinging through the city shots. Those were fucking great.

I wasn't feeling the Jean Grey storyline in the theater and 24 hours later I like it even less. This felt like a Spider-Man movie that was inter-cut with a Jean Grey origin story rather than a proper Spidey movie itself.

The on-screen chemistry of Ned, MJ, and Peter in No Way Home carried over really well into this one. Wish they would have tightened the focus to capitalize on it.
