Liking the show so far. Only halfway in but digging it.

Nicholas Kim Coppola > Nicholas Cage > Officially Nicholas Cage.He changed his name from Nicolas Cage...to Nicolas Cage.
Nicholas Kim Coppola > Nicholas Cage > Officially Nicholas Cage.
behind a paywall.Ya, Nicholas Cage was just his stage name. Now it's his actual name. Kind of a clickbait article
I watched the first 3 episodes in color and the rest of the season in B&W. Personally... I prefer B&W. It just fits the noir aesthetic better for me.anyone watching in B&W? I'm watching the "hue" version which has a weird color vibrancy, I kinda like it but not sure if B&W would be better/worse. I'm downloading the episodes (fuck amazon ads lol) so would have to download a second copy if I want to watch in B&W.
Episode 1 didn't really grab me, I don't love Cage's acting/voice choices and the story is not interesting at all so far but it can only get better I suppose.
The Cage we're familiar with comes out in later episodes. It does get better. But like I said earlier,it doesn't follow any comic at all.anyone watching in B&W? Just watched the first episode and am thoroughly enjoying it. The wife and I have now taken an approach that we'll find a show to watch and watch one episode a night, as to draw it out and avoid "The Show Hole" as much as we can. heh
She mentioned during it how she didn't feel like she'd seen Nicolas Cage in anything really in a long time. I mentioned a few movies he'd been in, and she goes looking it up. It seems he at one point had a net worth over $150 million, then bad spending, bad choices, and tax issues wiped him out. Then he paid everything off, has been more controlled, and is now worth around $25 Million. So my theory is he's found his financial groove, has what is probably plenty of money now that he's not blowing it insanely, and entered his "Nicholas Cage doing things Nicholas Cage thinks is cool... and we're all just along for the ride" phase of his career.
If this is an example of that, then I'm wholly fine with this phase of his life. heh
