AEW just uploaded this match from the first AEW show. It's the best brother vs brother match since Bret/Owen and was based on Cody wanting Dustin to join his revolution (the company) and Dustin being more interested in laying a beating on Cody for being their dad's favorite son (especially after Dusty wasn't there for him growing up, earlier in time). This was several years after Dusty's passing.

Gos I hate having to jump through hoops between fags who are all “hulk was a bad dude” and also juggle the fact that as a kid I would watch him battle the meanest men ever and try to channel my own strength through the TV so he could win like a spirit bomb

I don’t care who he was as a person . I care about what he meant to me and a million other kids. Fuck social media.

he beat Andre he beat King Kong bundy he beat the Heenan family he beat macho man and the twin tower he beat Zeus in a Oscar’s worthy film he beat that damn Iraqi sympathizer he was the man

I saw one vid on social media of a black guy (clearly of age to have been a wrestling fan in Hulk's WWF heyday) basically saying to the person Terry Bollea, F you, but to the Hulkster, god speed and we'll always remember to say our prayers and take our vitamins. Thought was decent way of acknowledging the man could be a real piece of shit at times, while giving praise to the role model the character was for who knows how many people over the years.

It's wild to me that Hulk is getting glazed so hard for who he was as a face, when he was 100x better as a heel. Hollywood Hogan was the real GOAT - being able to totally reinvent yourself after a decade+ of "Hulkamania".

I agree. 1997 was honestly the best Heel work Ive seen. Savage vs DDP - Hogan as a full heel being chased by Sting and Trying to push back on Luger. Such great shit for guys who never got to really go all in for years.

Hollywood Hogan and Evil Vince were the 2 biggest heel moves in all of Wrestling history, and were so revolutionary and both happened, made sense, and were within 18 months.

Hollywood dethroned the WWF, Evil Vince killed WCW.

Same fags glaze Austin who repeatedly beat several wives. But somehow thats better than a guy who said the N word and supports trump.

I can't really get behind the Hollywood Hogan run fully because of how badly they fucked up Starrcade v Sting. The literal silver platter finish to a story they spent like 18 months building up and Hogan's like "not today, brother". Obviously the heel turn in general was great and the run historic, but given how iconic his 80's run was and the fact it's probably the only reason wrestling ever had the wider appeal it did for the NWO run to even be a thing, I have to give it the nod.

The 2000 Bash at the Beach incident with Jeff Jarret was pretty great too. Especially knowing what a turd Jarret is.

This is basically how I tried to come to terms with it, as well. My best friend and I would go rent all the old Big 4 PPVs from the grocery store (which rented videos for some reason) where he was always the hero. When I really got into wrestling a few years later, my favorites were guys like Bret, Undertaker, and Tatanka, but there was always something truly larger than life about guys like Hulk and the Ultimate Warrior. Even if they were horrible people irl, you can't ignore how their characters made you feel as a kid.

Was there ever any evidence that he discriminated against black wrestlers? One instance of him dropping an dindu in a private conversation is a pretty weak foundation to build 'hes a terrible person' on.

He pretty much buried everyone, didn't discriminate in that way.

And no, there isn't. He discriminated against everyone equally!

Love that they bounced his ass out cause he was fuckin horrible and not serious during his training at the enhancement center.

He mostly wasn't even showing up at training sessions...mostly.

He has a small, walnut-like brain, and I think he thought WWE was real and he could go there and just hit people.

Back to sacrificing concertgoers in illuminati death rituals for him.
