I am not into WWE at all but I enjoyed all of the matches except CM Punk I thought it was kind of boring, like they didnt want to hurt each other or go too over the top except for 1 or 2 moments... but maybe I don't know what I am talking about being a super casual fan. I like watching the "PPV" events because as a kid when I was a super WWF fan I was always begging my parents to spend the $50 to buy Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, etc. so now that I can watch them on Peacock I feel like I must to appease my inner child.

That's just every Gunther match. He's very "old school" in his wrestling style.

I actually like his matches. Some of the constant "acrobatic" spots they do now get old and start looking awkward as shit as a match wears on and guys/girls get tired.

It seemed like there were a lot more botches (maybe clumsiness or poor-selling is more accurate) than I ever remember seeing...it's almost like they're wrestling so safe that it doesn't look good. The rope choke spot with Cena/Cody and the fumbling of chain moves with Gunther/Punk, for example. But it seemed like every match had something that obviously didn't connect because it wasn't close. There was a stomp that was about 2 feet away that even the commentators had to say "he didn't get all of that one".

The Samoan matches bored me, but most of the matches were entertaining, at least on the 2nd night. I hate the 2 night PPVs...Survivor Series is the only Big 4 I haven't seen live, so I need to attend one before they expand that in a few years. *old man yells at clouds or something*

They really need to do a better job booking Jacob Fatu. His athleticism at his size is fucking crazy. Springing himself up for effortless moonsaults at his size is just wtf. Solo just ain't that guy to help get someone more over with any kind of rub.

Gunther did that show injured, makes sense all the flair potential was equivalent to a wet fart.

So much internet pearl-clutching over Brock's return. Did he say a bad word 15 years ago too?

People need to start learning the difference between an accusation and a charge, or for that matter a charge and a conviction. There is absolutely dick-all as far as actual provable crimes or even charges of them against Brock.

I get that a lot of folks want to live in a world where a mere accusation ruins somebody's life but we're backing away from that now.

LMAO. I guess ESPN signed some deal with WWE for a new streaming service ESPN is launching for 29.99/month, that'll include PLEs. If the service also included UFC PPVs and EPSN+ content, it'd be an amazing value. But I doubt it'll include any of that. Meanwhile, Canada gets all their PLEs on Netflix.

AJ Lee/Becky is the first thing other than Cody's story/return to WWE that I've cared about wrestling-wise in about 5 years. I haven't loved Becky as a heel and AJ was great as a heel, so I wish the roles were reversed, but still looking forward to all of their interactions.

There is no way you can get AJ as a heel right now with that return. She is going to be cheered in every arena they go into for the next 6 months minimum. Maybe by Wrestlemania you can turn her, but unlikely.

Right...it was more a comment on what fits them best, not what they should have done. Obviously with Seth as a heel and Punk as a face right now, this is how it had to happen.

I just looked up Survivor Series prices since that's the one Big 4 PLE I haven't seen live...I can't believe people are paying this much now.

I 'member when it was called the Rosemont Horizon back in the day.

Surprised they didn't run the much bigger/nicer United Center, it would have filled up for a momentous event like this. The AJ return probably came together fairly recently, after the building was signed off.
