AEW isn't the most popular around here, but some AEW news: Adding an 11th PPV, Redemption, in July. This'll function as setup for All In, sort of like No Way Out was for Wrestlemania.

Up to 11 PPVs now I believe, only month that's missing one is January. The individual PPV buyrates aren't what they were in the first few years (when there were four) anymore due to being diluted so much, but it seems to be amounting to significantly more money altogether coming in so I'd expect them to go ahead and add a 12th one at some point rather than scaling back.

Danhausen is pretty fucking lame. He was lame in AEW too. I liked him at first when he was a big deal from the indies, but then he spent pretty much his entire AEW tenure injured (mostly from pre-existing stuff) and just isn't any sort of serious wrestler. Now he's in WWE doing the fucking curse thing all the time and it's annoying as hell. The crowds need to go back to booing him so maybe they'll stop featuring him so frequently.

He's all over the goddamn shows while Michael Cole acts like he's amazing. It's like the return of fucking Hornswoggle or something.

-Wrestlemania 40 was them retelling Starrcade 97, only doing it right

-Oba vs Brock was them doing the Goldberg vs. Ultimate Warrior match that WCW could have done in 1998 and inexplicably didn't (yeah, it wouldn't have been good but it would have done a monster buyrate in Fall 98)

-Oba vs Roman is going to be them retelling Goldberg vs Hogan and doing it even better

He’s perfect for what WWE wants. Someone unique, gets eyes to look at their product, they can insert him anywhere and he sells a ton of merch.

it won’t last forever but I can’t fault him for riding that wave as long as possible.

As someone who attended Starrcade 97, I never thought of that, that actually makes a lot of sense. I just hope they don't drop the ball. I was worried about the WM result, but it was perfect rub for him.

Yeah, he’s a piece of shit person, but he plays his schtick perfectly and has the talent on top of it. I do enjoy watching him in the ring.

OK, haven't followed the WWE in a while, back in the late 90's and 2000s it was a regular for PPV viewing at the IRC parties I'd throw, but that's another story.

But recently saw this clip of a Kane knock off called... Co Kane.. and his finisher.. and will admit I laughed of loud literally..

This. Dude may be a total scumbag, but PLENTY of scumbags have been professional wrestlers and Logan is one of the best active roster guys. His ring work AND his mic skills are really damn good, which is especially crazy for a guy who has so much other shit going on.

The high spots Logan hit in his debut were fucking insane. I have never seen a wrestler in their debut perform to that level. No botches. Just high spot after high spot.

I know Shane McMahon had 2 crazy matches with very limited experience also, but he was a part of selling a high spot. He didn't need to do anything besides sell and take a bump. Logan having to actually do the high spots is different. Respect to Shane though, those were legendary matches.

Blows my mind how talented and willing he is. He doesn't need to do what he does, at the level he does it. He has money and didn't need to be in the business.

You guys think the whole TKO running everything is a work? Maybe start a story line of corporations ruining everything vs the every day fan? I mean it's very long game story telling to build shit up.

I think at the very least its a good way to get the heat off Hunter from a fan standpoint. If they develop it into something else all together its hard to tell, but a UFC invasion of WWE....while it would piss off UFC purists, it would be a damn gold mine for TKO.

And honestly, would get UFC fighters more money, which they need tbh.

As far as TKO sitting in on Smackdown or RAW writers meetings? Yeah, that would be a work. They aren't in there. As for TKO injecting their pet celebrities into Mania feuds? That's real. And WWE did their best to write around them. I'm excited to see Cody vs Randy without McAfee being part of the feud.
