Five years with no word is never a good sign and the adaptation apparently took so many liberties with the source material that they may not be sure how to move forward with the story. Plus they had those awful production issues near the end of the season that resulted in a couple episodes looking like absolute garbage and then a delay while they unfucked the remaining episodes. May just be too much of a headache.

And while I also loved Spider, I think we all know that Yuki Aoi was carrying the show. That woman could recite a grocery list and still make it top tier entertainment.

At the beginning of the 2nd episode when he wins the money and walks into the liquor store there are bottles of "Erijah Craig" whiskey on the shelf. I love when the japs make fun of themselves a bit.

I recommend anyone interested in the spider show (Kumo Desu Ga) to just read the light novel. It's completed and it's better than the show was.

Fucking around with the timeline like they wanted to be Westworld was certainly a choice. It's probably money though - the anime financing world seems murky and incomprehensible even by hollywood accounting standards, and how good something was/how many people watched it don't seem to have any real correlation with how much money it made.

Friend sent me steelbooks of both seasons of Black Lagoon, said I would like it.

I have no idea what I'm getting into here. The hot woman rocking twin guns is promising though. I'm always telling him how much I like Cowboy Bebop, so I assume this is similar. Not gonna look it up cause spoilers, but is this a well-liked series?

It's been like 20 years, but I remember liking it.

Obviously don't expect modern animation standards.

I have a crazy 27 shows that I like this season. I'm sure it'll drop down sooner than later, but after the first 1-2 episodes of each, I'm really enjoying these.

One Piece is back on, man they are never going to finish it at this rate now that it is seasonal.

They finally get to Usopp's Land of Warriors and he is still a little bitch. He really grinds my gears lol.

I do love me some slice o life anime, and that one is fun to watch (still on S1). But holy hell does it take the Harem trope to a whole other level lol

I was saying that to a buddy yesterday.

It's amazing how jaded the last year have made me that I immediately thought he was taking her to Epstein's atelier in ep 1.
