old man, if you sat thru macross delta and both movies, you have extreme tolerance

i have no idea how frieren couldn't hold your interest over the garbage that is macross (aside from dyrl/og, and i really don't know if i'm just giving macross 9/10points for nostalgia)

No, a lot of the new Macross is trash. I think the last one I watched and liked was Plus. Most of my love is directed at Harmony Gold Robotech. I grew up watching that shit late night on PBS and co-gm'd a Robotech RPG campaign for years. I wouldn't have watched any anime if it wasn't for that show. It led me to Gundam, and half of those series suck imo as well. I want my life back for trying to watch Seed and Destiny for instance. I hadn't watched much anime in like 30+ years until I started my One Piece journey.

I actually kept watching Frieren last night and the setup bored me. I am enjoying it more, now that I got passed it and they finished the Aura Demon arc.
