It's all relative. I remember when Bitcoin hit $25k or so and was all over the news. There was an interview with some Norwegian guy who had bought $25 worth back when it was new when he was doing a school report on it. At the time of the interview he had sold most of his bitcoin and bought an apartment in the most luxurious part of Oslo. Pretty good ROI at the time, but hindsight is 20/20 and who knows if he regrets not holding.
10k coins, worth $40 at the time. what is even worse for him, he spent another 75k to 100k coins after that.
I've got a couple of ships back when it launched originally because my group was doing it and the pedigree was there, but I never really cared about S42. Sure it was a game we were all going to get to play bundled with it, but we were in it for the space pirate MMO angle. I've always thought it was a misappropriation of resources for the main game. Now I know it's probably just money laundering. We all expected it was going to launch and 3 or 4 years. I mean at this point it's got to be 15 years maybe, it's not longer?
BIG TIME, especially when you consider they do dumb shit like this.
Yeah there's two systems you can explore and do pve/pvp missions in, you can run cargo or mine, do pve mercenary stuff or pvp bounties on players with crime stats. there's a good chunk of stuff to keep you occupied for a little while. Also the Stanton system is "pve" but you can still get pvp'd but people who attack you will get crime stats and will be locked out of all but one location for landing, and the go to jail if they die with a crime stat, the Pyro system is full free for all.
