I didn't even notice that at first, but is that what happens when the jem hadar dont get their drugs?

They die

Some get over it

Some get ‘taded

It’s all in a few DS9 episodes

But we are to assume once the founders left them, they kinds just turned from a fake created race into a natural thing and developed on their own.

And made females…out of only males, yay trannies? Something something the Orville did it first

At least it's feasible to make an xx out of 2 xy donors with the proper application is SCIENCE!

I forgot how detailed that got with the moclan reproductive process. I kinda shut down for most of it. How did 2 dudes make one egg?

I don't remember those episodes. But I was imagining new ones that had never been addicted to the juice might be soft like that.

Also, that's not a female. That's clearly a male silverback gorilla in prosthetics.

If I had to make that work I would go with something like this - like the Vorta the Jem Hadar were a race that the Founders discovered and genetically modified for service. The species has women but the Founders decided to only clone males for their shock troops. Part of the peace treaty that ended the war between the Dominion and the Federation included beginning the process of restoring the Jem Hadar to their genetic baseline and for the reintroduction of their women. It's a been a long, slow process but female Jem Hadar exist and a few Jem Hadar have opted for Star Fleet. The Federation did win after all. Victory is life.

Yeah I am sure they can go about with it, it’s science fi- but we all know its going to end up being the most woke stupid reason ever.

I can recall two episodes where they show the lack of the drug, I am sure there are more and also discussions throughout that I dont remeber- one main full episode about it is they are stranded on some planet with a detachment and they are running out or had run out etc.

There was one, or the same one? Where a group of them were like a mini cult or something trying to leave the dominion or something and they got off it kinda.

I remember that one. My thought was more along the lines of never getting addicted to it in childhood. To be clear, my stance is still that the thing in the picture is a male silverback gorilla in prosthetics.

My recollection of that one is that they found an alternative they could synthesize and were looking for something better. But maybe that was yet another episode.

The Jemhadar is a Klingon-Jemhadar hybrid apparently

I mean this show takes place 800 years after DS9. So that leaves us with some possible conclusions

1) Odo influenced the Dominion to free the Jemhadar from ketracel white and to modify the clone batches so Jemhadar could reproduce naturally. The shows and relaunch novels did focus on Odo wanting the Jemhadar to be more than disposable soldiers

2) Some mad scientist was like “ let me combine two races obsessed with honor and battle and see what happens!”

800 years? Continuity is hard, so...fuck it. I guess this is better than them actually trying and fucking it up.

800 years sounds like such an unfathomably long time period given Trek's level of technology that nothing in this show should be remotely recognizable.

That’s probably why they chose this distant time period - they basically have a blank canvas where they can change all sorts of shit and hand wave it away as “stuff changed in 800 years”

And if people don’t like it, timeline gets changed during the “current” era so this never happens (like Temporal Cold War in Enterprise)

Now I know how other people feel when I try to explain the Star Wars timeline to them.

From the show that you didn't bother watching written by the guy you have no faith in comes another spinoff following the prior spinoff that was relegated to a single movie no one cared for and further bastardized the lore set up by the core shows... in the Star Trek franchise. Sorry, should have mentioned that part sooner in the sentence to narrow it down.

I liked the doctor, Seven of Nine and LT Paris. The rest was fine but what ever.
I liked torres after that episode where her human and klingon halves split and I realized there was a cutie under that makeup. Even Kim, chakotay, and that Vulcan Inventor weren't bad. If there was no neelix, I think more people could have even looked past janeway and enjoyed the show more.
