Final season of Enterprise was pretty good, when they started to lead up to the Romulan War. It's a shame the show got canceled before they could have covered that

Can we all just hug and agree everything up to and including Enterprise was decent/awesome and everything after was garbage for the most part?

There is an increasing amount of crying, like in Discovery, in this show. Nothing says star trek like crying women. Cough.
Just watched the crossover, wasn't bad on the crying:episode rating.

The whole thing is fairly woke but not to offensive levels which makes it very watchable.

The main character in this show is a black strong female that, while being a linguist, is also an amazing engineer and has a tragic backstory that is full of oppression. The pilot is a female who incidentally is a homo. The security is is another strong female and throws around men and aliens three times her size like they were balloons. Sure, star trek was always a bit woke. No, it was never current day woke.

Preaching is subconsciously tolerated when writing is good. Relatable characters and interesting stories makes you not question how Riker hasn't been 23rd century MeToo'd.


The writing on Star Trek hasn't been that good for a while.

Star Trek wokeness was subtle. STD and whatever that fucking cartoon is tossed out all subtlety. Verdict is still out on Strange New Worlds, but aside from the musical episode, its been pretty descent.

DS9 is the best Trek, followed closely by OG (especially the even numbered movies). Enterprise had one good season (the last one) and the evil universe three parter that was great. Rest was vastly wasted potential by Paramount not understanding their own product. TNG has not aged well, but has a few standout episodes that are iconic. Voyager was a mess, but had its moments.

But any Star Trek locked behind Paramount streaming is doomed to be forgotten.

Post Jack SG1 wasn’t as good, but Claudia Black’s character (Vala) was a good addition. Ben Browder sort of got hamstrung personality wise because he was an anti-John Crichton and basically played the serious one

Morena Baccrain playing a hot but evil half-god was good too lol
