its 1080p streaming games, single player only no multiplayer but can try the game out if you have prime. they also have dispatch, that gay superhero game

i played galactic racer a bit today morning before heading out to the gym, really fun and looking forward to playing tonight. it feels very much like burnout in space

Luna is Amazon's Epic/Steam/Xbox equivalent. If you have a Prime account, you can play a lot of games for free. Occasionally they throw in something new.

Its worth connecting your Prime to a Twitch account, since every week Amazon gives you some free games through Epic, Luna, and....GoG. GoG is pretty good - they deliver some oldies with updated patches. Most of my Epic/GoG library is from Prime giveaways. My GoG has like...every Fallout, Mafia, Doom, Bioshock, etc from that.

If it has first person with VR I might try it when it dips to 15, not touching it for a long time. We've been fooled many times.

Not a bad idea. Some people compare it to a mobile game in terms of content.

Enjoying the game so far, havne't spent too much time.

I love the roguelite aspect of it and think it's a good change from the typical "Restart the race until you succeed". I can see getting tired of it when I get further along though.

game is pretty addictive, i hit act 2 and it just gets a lot bigger. there are so many little variables you control that drastically affect the outcomes of races and so many decisions to make. really, really fun game especially if you like games you can play in short 15-20 min bursts and then put down for a while, which is my kind of game.

i would suggest enabling easier quickstart and turning on auto ramjet, i am still though trying to figure out how i want to map the back paddles on my controller. i haven't figured out the best "dance" for switching between afterburner and ramjet, and i am pretty shitty at map optimizations too, i see tons of shortcuts but i'm too slow to get into them most of the time or i try too hard and crash a lot.

outside of 2-3 multiplayer games i haven't even touched that part of the game and i was expecting that to be the biggest part of the game

Game looks great, hoping other racers (looking at you Forza) copy some of the career/campaign stuff and roguelite stuff from this game. Forza has gotten extremely derivative and honestly boring. The latest one only got like 20 hours from me, which was really unusual (typically at least 100, 3 over 300 hours).

So this is free on something called Amazon Luna. Never heard of it, but I installed the app on my tv and I’m playing it using a ps4 controller with 0 lag for free. Took all of 1 minute to install the app and launch the game. I feel like there has to be some catch or something, but this is awesome. The function and feel is just like a console game, albeit 1080p instead of 4k, but I saved $60. Win win

My main complaint is you can't remap controls. I had to do it through Steam. I like my drift button to be the left shoulder button. The default is square. They also have ramjet set to R3 which is retarded. I moved that to the right shoulder button.

You discovered cloud gaming. The catch is that you are the product.

I just got to Act III tonight, and man they really did nail the sense of speed in this game. So far I like racing on Crait the most. I love the red lines that gets made in the salt. It's a really cool effect. It makes for a shitty race though on that short track course.

Just bought and hooked up Thrustmaster T16000M FCS ($82 on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQEDEEW ). Within a few races I was already more comfortable with racing than with my XBOX 360 controller. Maybe it's just me but subtle steering control on a tiny gamepad joystick is awkward, especially when using the highly sensitive pod racer. Being able to hit all the buttons without moving my fingers around is also a huge increase in comfort. I'm glad they have an option for simplifier pre-race checks because there's no way I could do them without that with the button mappings being obfuscated.

I used Xbox 360 Controller Emulator to hook it up. It took a bit of time but works fine. Bindings:

For the joke recyclers: This game really only has two axes (left/right and pitch) so no, there's no pedals :D

Downside to this is my current job involves human-in-the-loop driving simulation and this feels like work. This is just like when I was playing Factorio and showed up to work Monday tired of programming.
