Obi-Wan set Maul up to try the same move again by changing his opening stance from his favored fighting style to Qui-Gon's favored style. Maul saw it and thought he could pull the same move twice. Hence Maul shifting his feet before the fight started. That fight was over before it began, and why its my favorite lightsaber fight ever. Although Luke Vader in Empire is an all timer.

Agree. Filoni's animated stuff goes from strength to strength. Clone wars, rebels, bad batch, tales of the Jedi/sith/underworld are all excellent and this one might be the best so far.
Did you know that before the latest episode drop? Seems like they said it 5 times in these 2 episodes, but I don't remember hearing it at all before.
Super fans? You don't have to be a super fan to recognize him trying to kill Obi-Wan with the exact same move he killed his master with. Comparing that with the post-hoc justification for that bit of inexplicably garbage choreography in Ep 3 just makes you sound even more retarded.
I feel like they've gone back and forth on that whether Vader is actually directly part of the Inquisitor hierarchy or if he's just powerful/feared enough that none of them dare tell him no. Cause the Inquisitorius is definitely Palpatine's project and I know he's torn Vader a new one on at least one occasion for obsessing too much over hunting down the remaining Jedi instead of addressing the broader issues of the Empire. Then again this is so soon after Ep 3 that maybe Palpatine hasn't realized the depth of Vader's obsession yet.
