Got it. I never did play Civ6 and after reading how bad Civ 7 was, I figure free is at least worth a look.

working now even if you own the base civ 6 version, which i think was free previously on EGS. i was getting the same error above an hour ago but it let me redeem now with a warning that i already own another version

doesn't really matter, i've redeemed every single EGS/GOG freebie and never played a single one. i'm a digital hoarder
