Man I really wanted to get one but that price is so high. Still kind of considering it, but I really don't need it. I never tried any VR games so would have to buy new games or mod existing games I guess.

Honestly that's really cheap for what it is. The PCL is the lowest resolution I would consider "worth it" or what the standard should be. It's very close and half the price and weight (With headstrap). However, I wouldn't buy one if it wasn't for sim racing. I would just never use it.

Thing about VR is done right it's MIND BLOWING. Like nothing compares , but it's rarely done right, the costs are high, the games are short and not enough of them. I've had a Rift and a quest 2.
I'll give an instance , with the rift there were a few free apps like Google Earth VR , where you felt like a god walking the earth or this one game (name escapes me now but it was for money) where you are a robot in a lab around Saturn trying to solve a mystery. Mind blowing! Or a Batman game where you reached down around your waist and it put a batarang in your hand to throw. Did you know that never gets old? You're not pretending to be Batman, You ARE batman. But they are only at most 5-6 hours long. The Quest 2 had some star wars games with Darth Vader where you were able to use light sabers , they were cool but again, short.

Beat Saber is about the peak gaming now. There is a HL game but I could not get it working with my quest 2.

If you liked that Saturn game(let me know if you remember the name!), Red Matter 2 was an amazing, polished, liquid smooth VR game with good puzzles. On PSVR2 it ran smoother and looked better than any other VR game at the time.

I keep seeing ads for some VR app where you get like a duck hunt clone of a particular pistol and get to use that as a controller to run some training drills on your Quest.

Couple problems though - 1) I don't have a Quest, and 2), it's got a monthly sub, which is a pretty gay model for that type of simulation.

Also, I get motion sick pretty easily, so I am pretty hesitant to drop big bucks on VR shit I might not even be able to use.

Found it, it was called Lone Echo. I loved it. Red Matter was another pretty decent one. They are from the time the original Rift came out so no idea if you can even buy them on the Oculus store anymore or not.

Pretty decent bundle on humble. Remnant 2, Subnautica, ESO and others. I'm mostly getting it because blazblue looks pretty cool and I don't own any of these games surprisingly.

Remnant 2 alone would be worth the price. I reinstalled it the other day because some of my buddies were talking about playing it and I know somebody here, want to say maybe it was kroenen kroenen was asking about it.

It's an amazing game.
