I just downloaded the first episode. Debating if I want to watch it or not, since it is an ABC Family show. Also, the premise sounds a lot like what Liv does on iZombie, just without the whole zombie thing.

Fuck it, I'll start it now and see if I finish it.

I'm not gonna lie, this is going to be a tough finish for me. Ten minutes in and I'm not sure I can do it. The main chick is crazy hot, but she acts like a combination of Bones and Sheldon Cooper, where she completely doesn't understand human interaction and doesn't care, just barges ahead with whatever thought is in her head with no regard for legality, feelings, etc. Toss in "every terrible hacker stereotype you've ever seen on TV and in movies" to her persona, and maybe you'll understand exactly how terrible she is. Data acting the part of an actual android was a more convincing human.

I'll keep going just to see if the "hook" part where they download her into dead brains is interesting, but I'm thinking this might be a pass unless something amazing happens to her personality in this first show.

Well, it got a little more tolerable, and they explained her behavior as a side-effect of her condition, which is "Temporal Displasia." In other words, she can't comprehend the passage of time. She has no idea if she's been in a room for one minute or one hour, and has to estimate based on things like if she has to pee or feels hungry, and how long she knows things take like travel times. Apparently this lack of temporal awareness makes her unable to process basic human emotions for...reasons? Like they explain that when she sees that someone has died, it is now as if they have always been dead. It really makes no fucking sense. And apparently her being "stitched" into memories is causing her to experience and learn emotions (which she doesn't like).

Still, it got a little more tolerable than the first ten minutes led me to believe, but there is probably going to be a TON of her and Allison Scagliotti's "hacking" too, which could get annoying as well. I don't know if I can recommend this at all unless the concept really appeals to you. The main character is just so unlikable (yet hot), and the support nerds aren't enough to make me care. I'll probably see how the second episode fares, since pilots and all, but I'm not optimistic.

I watched the first episode. It was meh. The idea is cool and the potential exists for this to be decent. It's got 1-2 weeks to grab me though.

Second episode was a tiny bit better. Main character is still annoying with how she apparently has no idea how to act in any sort of social interaction, despite being old enough to at least be able to fake it. Fucking Dexter was more human than her. She's still really fucking hot though.

They sort of solidified the team in this episode though, which made it a little more interesting. Not sure it is worth watching at all, but there also isn't a lot on right now. The head nerdy guy definitely has a real nerd consulting on his lines at least, as he mentioned Settlers of Catan a couple times, and swore "By Grabthar's Hammer." Sadly, other than the chick's hotness, that's what I remember most from the episode, so yeah, not great. Not sure how many more I'll care to watch unless episode 3 really steps it up.

I believe I'm the only one watching this, so I checked out episode 3. Eh, it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great. I think it has sort of settled into its groove now, and it is basically going to be dead body comes in, she "stitches" with it to get the memories, various hi-jinks ensue as they attempt to solve the mystery, probably involving doing all kinds of things that aren't technically legal or very smart because she's socially retarded, and because she's becoming affected by the various emotions of the dead people. With a slight underlying backstory of relationship drama, hot girl's real and step-dad being all mysterious and dead, and the previous "stitcher" having been all fucked up by the process and will the new girl end up like that too?!

Yeah, nothing special beyond the stitching technology. You've seen the same thing a hundred times, probably with a more likable main character (maybe not as hot though) and more memorable supporting characters. And better acting. Still, I'll probably keep watching it because I'm dumb I guess? If there were more shows to watch I wouldn't, but that's why they put shows like this on during the summer.

I'm not a huge fan of Allison Scagliotti like apparently everyone else in the world, but if you like her she only plays a small role in the pilot, but is a main team member for the next episodes and the foreseeable future, so you'll be happy about that.

Wow--

I never heard of this show until I read about here looking for something new.

Man this show is like crack cocaine addictive... It is so bad that it's good. I really can't tell whether Emma Ishta is a great actress playing "rain woman" or whether she is just all around flat. I swear this show looks like someone's college film project. It is so neat and bright and cheesey, filled with kinda cool sci-fi tropes that have been done a zillion times before (and most of them all better). Tru Calling being the finest of them, but that show never even got off a full season. This show has THREE seasons on Hulu. I binged watched four episodes in a row. It was like my brain was eating peanut M&Ms... I really can't describe the feeling well-- like Being John Malkovich, if JM were lobotomized.

Everything about the show is stiff. The cast reads their lines so fast and without appropriate affect. They also step on each other's pauses, as if rushing to get the next line in before any pause at all. It's a completely, utterly fascinating and addicting SHITSHOW!

It's idiocracy porn that could have been something if the concepts were fleshed out and the show had hired actors instead of models. Or, maybe that's the point, because it's a beautiful, stupid thing. Fuck, I'll probably watch the whole series.

Damn, I completely forgot this show existed. Now you made me remember how hot the main chick was. I looked her up, and she hasn't done anything else that I would care to watch, which isn't surprising. While looking it up on IMDB I see there is another smoking hot babe that was on it for awhile, and I don't remember that at all. I wonder if I ever watched the next two seasons. I can't remember! Probably not, it was so bad. I still don't understand the hype about Allison Scagliotti.

Thanks for bumping a thread where I had not only the last post but an overly creepy one at that.

Let's just say it was a different point in my life and things weren't going so well and move past.

Great show though. It really was a "so bad it is good." And in retrospect I do agree with Void Void
