Really sad it all went to shit, as I thought the strange matter reveal for Henry was a great way of wrapping up the Upside Down plot. If they would have kept to the strictly 80's nostalgia-bait themes and not fagged it up, then it would have gone done as a pretty great show. Current Day-ism really fucked it, though.

I watched it with family friends, and we all laughed together at the sheer stupidity. This is the only way to enjoy shows like this anymore.

Well that was the best episode of the season. This show could have been so much better without the "message". It was better as an ending than Game of Throne's ending.

The thing that of course was truly never resolved, was the real bad thing, is still left alive. How did that stone come to be in our reality?

I assume the spinoff will follow this up. Hopefully this time without the strong "Message". The problem is, Stranger Things was also about Nostalgia. It has been done now. I do not think any kind of spinoff will have the same success but maybe I am wrong.

The weakest season, save for most of the final episode.

If they're doing a spinoff, which I could give two shits about, they'll just shift gears to 90s nostalgia.

Well if they're telling the story of the original stone that infected Henry and how it came to be in that random guy's briefcase, it would presumably take place in the 70s and could milk 70s nostalgia, which could be good, if done correctly, which I doubt at this point.

I like how they just completely forgot some characters in the ending like Murray, Vickie and Dustin’s girlfriend. I’m glad they didn’t try to make you sympathize for Henry and just let him end up being a villain.

From what I read, the spinoff focuses on Nancy, and it happens between S4 and 5 so will still be set in mid 80's.
