Computer animation still not getting it right. I guess now we will get the rest of the story on how he was able to stay alive for so long.

how is this is only up to season 5?

I watched season 1 back in what, 2015? 2016? like before Trump was elected the first time. what's it been, 11 years+?

The whole cast were children when this show came out, i remember watching the first season but lost interest after that.

Now they are married and their own kids could be playing them

If you lost interest after the first season, featuring Steve and the greatest redemption arc in TV, well sir, you have no emotions.

The first 3 seasons of this show were A++++ hitting all the right nostalgia and good storytelling notes. Rudy sacrificing himself for Wynona Rider was just icing on the cake.

Yeah for all the faggotey of Netflix this is the one show they nailed for the most part. The only problem was their slow pace aging the kids out

I don’t want to watch a 23 year fav love his best friend . The whole idea of the show was 80s kids/teen horror genre that is no longer existent but they waited too long now it’s just faggy young adult drama

I don't even remember a single character's name. This whole 30 years between seasons has that effect.

To give you an idea of how shit TV has become, if Star Trek TNG had the same number of episodes per season and time between seasons, then the show would take 44 years to run start to finish.

Star Trek came out in 1987, which means we'd still be watching it, and it wouldn't end for another six years.

Everything about show biz has become a giant farce.

Season 2 was trash, Season 3 was better / good, Season 4 has been a mixture. The whole 1st part of the season seemed like a waste. Mike and Will are reduced to inconsequential and their side quest is stupid. Sassy Black 7 year old Dustin is annoying as all hell. Max turned from annoying somewhat in Season 2 to pretty much out shining everyone. Including Millie Bobby Brown or whatever 11s name is, don’t know if it is her as an actress or the way they’re handling 11 but holy cardboard. Zero presence or personality from Season 1. Nancy and Steve are really the high points of the entire thing for me. They actually feel like characters that have developed and grown, and not just become caricatures and paint-by-numbers slot-ins.

Also, not sure about the design choice of Vecna. He reminds me of Thrawn from Ahsoka. Instead of menacing he looks like a frumpy 45 year old dad.

Man, saw this thread get bumped and I was like...holy shit, how is this show still on? Then I saw it's only on season 5? I watched season one and it was good, but I remember quitting very early on season 2 (think my wife finished it).

But that was a decade ago. 5 seasons in a decade? What the shit?

I rewatched season 4 this week and my opinion of the show went way up. When you compare it to the lazy goyslop served by the boys, Gen V and other recent tv shows, this season was a masterpiece. They actually put effort into storytelling, character arcs and payoffs.

I forget when the argument was made, but someone somewhere was shitting on Argyle or whatever his name was for being a shoe horned in sidekick stoner comedy relief that was stupid...

And Im here thinking hes probably the most perfect encapsulation of the 80s movie tropes.
