Yeah, that's essentially the one casting call I've seen I had questions about. Since in the trailer they show a statue of M. Bison, I hope this guy is like his son/grandson/whatever and for pure cheesiness/tribute to Julia they just call him N. Bison and he exists pretty much to show why the original (now deceased) was the optimal version.

As an easter egg the "old photo" of Ken and Ryu from their younger days is them from the first movie wearing the same clothes when they were undercover arms dealers.

Most of the cast doesn't really fit the role, Ken looks likes hes cuban, Cammy is thai, Byson never fit the role in the first movie either, Ryu ? No clue what that actor even is, Blanca is supposed to be brazilian ect ect if people want to get pissed about that sort of thing.

Cammy is I think the oddest one

Kenny Omega showing up in Impact really was the most significant moment on Impact in like the past decade, as is this promo. The best promos are the ones that are based in truth.

I thought Chun Li and Cammy were gonna make out, which is probably what I was supposed to think. Then they wimped out because this isn't 20 years ago and male gaze or whatever.

The ridiculous moment where the chick knocks a guy twice her size across the room in one hit was a bad sign. This is gonna be another of those Marvel type deals where the women are overpowered and nobody can actually damage them except other women, they can't show any weakness whatsoever, etc.

But hey, at least we're getting an SF movie and an MK movie in the same year.

Kenny Omega should have played either M. Bison or Akuma.

Roman Reigns will probably be a solid Akuma, so give the Bison role to Omega. His reverence for the source material (both the games and the movie) and for Raul Julia himself would show through and it'd be the kind of breakout performance Omega needs for after he retires (unfortunately sooner than later) from wrestling).

Plus, Omega fighting Cody again would have been neat. Roman fighting Cody again will also be neat.
