It was a neat enough series of fights. There's a countless number of opponents he has that can magically bypass all of the skills of anyone they face. It's a little annoying, but whatever. I'll keep watching slime conversations.

The animation being really inventive definitely keeps me interested. I can only equate it to that one from forever ago, Land of the Lustrous. Which was also an awesome anime but completely batshit insane.
Decided to check it out and you aren't kidding. Show's 23 minutes runtime and like 13 minutes of it is OP/ED, Retelling of what happened last episode, and re-used CGI village/forest camera pans to establish location.
If they make a Gowtan spin off show that’s just 22 minutes of him staring people down an episode I’d watch it.
