Said it before, but culturally at this moment, "drunks being all drunk" isn't cool or appealing anymore. Substance abuse stopped being "cool" when overdose deaths and everything else went through the roof in the early 2020s. Young people care about health more than they used to, and a self-abusing drunkard isn't somebody young people are gonna want to get behind as a hero.
They might get some depressed young women that sit around moping about politics or whatever and identify with Supergirl. As well they should, they have all the power in the world to better themselves and make a difference, but it's easier to sit around moping about bullshit.
