I've never been interested in super girl comics or shows. Unless it's rated R and has lots of titties guys usually aren't interested in female leads.

The character built up some goodwill during my youth

There's 5 weeks between Supergirl and Mandalorian (not that I think that's going to be a breakout hit either) - by that point anyone who wanted to see Mandalorian will have by then, and Supergirl will be the only new action movie.

Then there's another 5 weeks between Supergirl and Spider-Man - if you want to get out of the heat and see an action movie for 30 days of July, Supergirl is the only option.

We've seen middling movies like Mufasa crawl to profitability because they are the only game in town, so unless you think Disclosure Day, Master of the Universe, and The Odyssey are going to be massive hits _to the action crowd_, Supergirl has an entire month of the peak moviegoing summer season to itself.

you know you are ignoring The Odyssey

June 12 - Disclosure Day, new Spielberg aliens movie
June 19 - Toy Story 5
June 26 - Supergirl
July 1 - Minions (kids and bitches love those gay twinkies)
July 10th - Moana live action (lol but kids love it)
July 17th - THE MOTHERFUCKING ODYSSEY BY CHRISTOPHER NOLAN
July 24 - new Evil dead movie
July 31 - new spidey movie as you said

there is a huge gap though July 4th, and its bizarre Paramount/Amazon/Disney/etc are just giving it up to Warner Bros. I wouldn't be surprised if Moana or Odyssey move around a little, esp if Supergirl seems weak box office wise.

I don't care if its a supergirl movie as long as it's not all about her being female and her unique struggles as a female in a male-kryptonian dominated world... and how she really is just as strong, capable, and brave as any MAN...

I mean it's 2026 so it probably will be something like this.

But if they just made a Supergirl movie and never referenced her femaleness other than pronouns and such (they never reference Superman being a male specifically, he just is) I'm fine with that. She's an alien, there's no reason a female alien can't be a superhero just like a male alien. It also frees them from any bullshit about "well her genetics, she wouldn't be that strong..." doesn't matter, alien.

Now we both know what this will probably end up being and girl power shit is dumb, but I don't mind a female hero now and then, especially when it's all made up anyway.

If someone shouted this in the movie ticket lines, they need to go to CECOT.

Disorderly conduct or causing unrest? I'm sure there's something illegal about this Butthurt Butthurt
Lol, i’d torch that all day long with the First Amendment, since shouting a spoiler isnt an imminent incitement to violence…

Unless your point is that neckbeards and inventors have more in common than we all thought, in which case

Saw a video today about this which said this movie has now had EIGHT screening runs with editing/reshoots after them to try to make it more audience palatable. (For those who do not know, 8 is a somewhat eye popping number of screenings to need to do).
