I don't get the hate for Milly since she actually nailed the role. It's not her fault the role was stupid and ill conceived, and certainly not her fault for all the other issues this movie has that have been mentioned repeatedly.
The one issue I have that I haven't seen given much air time to is piss poor the antogist was. For most of the movie I thought was a crappy henchman that was going to lead us to actual big bad. Nope, he was it. And his stupidity and general shitness as a villain was laid out in his first scene. Why was his robbing these random farmer type people? Were his swords really worth that much? He seem completely fine with his ship being blown up by them. Then halfway thought we learn his kidnappy woman, but left the girl behind at the start? And the father has the place booby trapped enoug to destroy a ship but doesn't use it when the ship first lands? Such an idiotic scene all round that just foreshadows what a dumpster fire the rest of the movie's going to be like.
Oh, don't get mestarted on their name. Could they have picked anything more generic than Brigands? Save yourselves 2 hours and rewatch Guardians of the Galaxy.
