I've been trying to join this server (really like the progression idea) - but their main website says account creation is disabled with no other info. Their discord invite is invalid as well. Anyone have any current information?
According to the Discord its been temporarily disabled (since 6/29) due to too high of a player count, stating the server resources cant handle it. Scuttlebutt is they want to stay as under the radar as possible after the WoW Ascension lawsuit, I think a large number of people were moving over to this server. People are still joining the discord as recently as this week, so a valid invite is out there somewhere.
Tons of quality of life interface/ability improvements. Examples like "auto-mount" which instantly mounts you whenever you idle, so literally after you kill a bear or whatever you mount up to run to the next. Autoloot, all crafting stuff goes to this magical crafting box that doesn't take up any bag space, etc
Perk system - You can go read the details but it's essentially extra talents/bonus to +better things but in addition to all normal crap. Early on it's not really helping much but I could see it giving a decent boost at max or high level. It's like achievements though, you dont just get them. You gotta do stuff ranging from kill a mob with X to, earn 100gold, whatever
Attune system(what this server is all about). Early on it's noticeable even though kind funny. You "attune" gear by wearing it and earning xp(quests count) and you get 20% of the stats(some specialities but thats the gist)
So early on all those stupid statless "+13 armor" pieces of shit you find....you can attune. I made a warlock and I am playing normally, as you would a total n00b on day 1 of wow(doing quests, no help, etc) and I've already got +200 armor from "attune". Yea, it's a joke in the real world but as a cloth caster early in the game it more than doubles my armor, which again, is noticeable when running around. I can kinda tank. I'm actually hitting areas and I am too low to even accept quests. Super neat concept and I could see how powerful it will be
If you attune 100% you can dual-class, while feasible I can see that being quite the grind
I'm told attune speed is tied to gear level, but I can say at low level with the crap I find it attunes in 1-3 mobs max, so it seems fast. I think its more about finding the gear than the effort to attune it. Not a huge grind like powerslot legendary on project triune
Tradeskills: for the outland ones(mining, herbs, etc) you can just run by the node and it instantly gathers it all. Holy crap small stuff like that is awesome. As I quest or do whatever I just roam around looking at the mini-map and vacuum all that shit up! And of course since it is crafting shit, it all goes to that magical endless infinite crafting bag!
Money is hard to come by just like back in the day!(so far via normal means). You actually want to buy that shit gear off the little town vendors because it will attune and give you a few bonus points of armor or maybe 1 sta! It's worth it
Low level gear sells for 100g+ at the auction house. Which makes sense. 100g to a top level is nothing and they dont wanna run around the n00b zones killing bears to find that crap. And yet it's worth it for them because every little bit helps inflate your stats. So save all gear that you CANT wear and sell it
So far having fun! just got the invite last night so only level 15 or so. Will post again as I start doing real stuff like dungeons or raids. While trying to attune all gear is clearly a massive feat, there are all sorts of helpful add-ons for example that show you all things you can attune in a zone and where to get them, etc. So if you really wanted to it's a time game, not a mystery scavenger hunt(im sure a few pieces are elusive).
Playing it "normal" I can see that it is a slow start. But if you make a second character or get help all of the attuned stuff carries over. You can also start at level 80 and attune a bunch of of top gear asap then go make a level 1 or whatever, basically play how you want. I decided to try a regular slog through.
