Really wish my life was in a place that afforded me the time to play this.
I only played on Al'Kabor shortly, but felt the memories of 1999 resurrected in a way that neither progression servers or P99 ever did. It felt difficult and unforgiving, but smooth and correct like only an original server would have been.
Much kudos to Torven and the developers for their work here - it sounds like it has really paid off.

Oh shit, you can run a trader along with the 3 box crew? I've just been running mine when logged out.

Yeah but you have to make a new account and you can't move any existing characters into the account, so you'll need to transfer all your items. Lots of people leave their trader on 24/7 now. There's a Trader Mode checkbox or something on the game account page.

when i try to do it it says "Accountname is not empty, you cannot toggle this"
when it click the trader box in the conder by the account name it refers me to the set trader button that gives the first error.
I give up on this. I've asked numerous people and nobody has even been able to attempt to answer.
I can't get this set up to work properly on PC. I've tried Secrets' client, I've tried Haynar's, I've tried just downloading the basic setup package from the website, they all have the same two problems:
- The client is buggy as fuck and half the time I can't release the mouse to move the window, so they're stuck mashed together in the bottom center of my screen with part of the windows sticking outside the monitor's boundaries. Sometimes I can release the mouse on one of the clients but I have never been able to do it on all three, it simply doesn't register the keypress to release the mouse on clients two and three.
- None of the window-switching hotkey setups work smoothly. They'll sort of work a little but anytime I press anything other than the window-switching hotkeys, they break. Anytime I alt-tab out to something other than the EQ clients, they break. Half the time, even when they otherwise work, pressing the hotkey doesn't do anything and I have to hammer it several times.
I've asked like 10 different people IG, asked on their forum, nobody even has a suggestion as to what the problem might be.

I agree that the PC client can still be buggy, Haynar is trying to get an updated one with both his and Secrets' changes implemented. You release the mouse by hitting Ctrl Alt R, I believe. I don't play using the PC client so I don't know how the varied boxing solutions work. If you can program a mouse macro key to switch windows instead of keypresses I'd try that.

So which of you guys are active here? I'm getting back into it now that I actually have internet at home and free time.
Was three boxing before, but my current machine can't handle it too well (playing on a 2002 Dell lol. My gaming laptop took a shit and I've been really broke since I got sick...), so I'm just single boxing my 30 iksar necro.
Would love having some guild chat scrolling through my screen, OOC isn't active enough to keep me fully entertained while fear kiting.
