Saw this on Instagram. As a woodturner, I always wear a face shield, even with a live center in my tail stock like this guy, anything over a few ounces spinning at 1000+ RPM will tear your face up. It also looks like he's using a drive spur on his head stock, instead of a face plate screwed into the wood, which in my opinion is idiotic with a piece that large.
