JWST should be a whole new era of amazing. Think what Hubble did and amp it all up by a factor of 10.

Some of the new techniques used on ground-base observatoriesmake these new ones coming online in the next decade pretty exciting too.

Seems a little weird for a private company to be the big innovator while NASA is going back and tearing apart old Apollo rockets to figure out how they worked.

It's still NASA basically... all of them hobnob with each other and staffing moves between them pretty fluidly.

It's pretty much only a difference of where the equity is coming from now.
