The secondary mirror deployment was livestreamed a couple hours ago. Had some interesting commentary and great documentary coverage on the production and testing in it so NASA can pat their backs even harder when it doesn't fail:


I have no beef with the self praise here. This to me surpasses the Rover missions.

Which looks promising so far, granted. The launch went so well that it saved onboard fuel that was anticipated to be used for course corrections, adding "significant mission life" to the telescope:

I read it could be up to ten years instead of five.

That ginger quoted NASA saying it's "significantly more" than ten years' mission life now. Still a ways from its parking orbit and shit can still go sideways but there's more than enough delta-v onboard for 10+ years.
