There was a rumor it would be presented today. That's the last I heard about it.

Last I read Illumiroom is becoming a real product, but not part of the One itself is all. Being made into something you could put on a coffee table rather than requiring you to mount a projector on the wall behind you, etc. I missed the mentions saying it was expected today.

Other shoe drop #3: MS UK claiming that Kinect does indeed need to be running for the X1.
Unknown yet if that's the same space requirements as the original Kinect (if so, cue uproarious laughter here), or if it just needs to be plugged in for the microphone (a bit of clutter, but not a big deal), or some middle ground, like the camera always needs to work but the space requirements are much better than before.*
*Personally, my xbox has been relegated to the bedroom nowadays, and is basically one foot away from the foot of my bed. I have to imagine some people have similar setups (probably a lot of teens), and am wondering just how dumb MS could be if they are mandating that the cameras always work.

Why? The thing comes in the box, just fucking plug it in. You don't need to use the motion or voice controls if you don't want to. I don't see the big deal.
