When I ordered my ducky keyboard, the UPS fag just skipped delivery. The cs people said he marked my delivery with "tried to deliver but didn't answer door" funny because i was sitting on the porch at my front door the whole time waiting for the fucker to show up.

Just thought I'd share that with you guys in your time of need.

I wonder if either company'll pull a Jennifer Government and pay assassins to kill a few kids as they come out of the store with their respective console. 'oh my god, people are killing children to get their PS4s...it must be really good" ;p

I know we are all foaming at the mouth but anyone that has had something shipped before and isn't a moron knows that all of this tracking software can be very shoddy.

Stop wasting the time of the Amazon customer support until it's actually a problem and it didn't show up on time. Contacting them just to complain that the tracking information doesn't tell you the exact time is a waste of everybody's time.

No one cares about Canadians. Their health plan works... But if you are diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer they'll say, "Ok see you in 3 months to confirm via MRI. Until then take these advil"

Sean, are you twitching yet? The release is so close. I bet you can smell that new electronic smell draped across the box when you first open it, already.
And in the US you'll get diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and die penniless and bankrupt, whether you have insurance or not. My mom had insurance and by the time she died my stepdad had spent over a half million dollars in surgical fees and medications insurance wouldn't entirely cover. Meanwhile my dad back in Canadia waited two months for a hip replacement and six weeks for a hernia operation, and didn't have to spend a penny. My aunt was diagnosed with lung cancer and they operated on her within two weeks.

It's a whole other thread, but the US system is better if 1) you are insured AND 2) have a condition that is easily cured or kills you very quickly. Having experienced both systems, I would much rather get basic check-ups and diagnostics done in the US, as well as "break/fix" type surgeries, but if I actually came down with some disease that meant years of treatment and/or medications, OR impacted my ability to work, I'd be on the first plane back north.

I agree, but as someone who has ordered over 200k worth of equipment for work in the past 11 months I can't recall a single instance where an item has been delivered prior to the expected delivery date. I had several instances where the item was at the local UPS facility and they held it another day simply because I hadn't paid for the higher level shipping.

All these people foaming at the mouth know exactly what level shipping they selected. Amazon is the BEST company about getting it to the people when they say they will and if they screw up they reimburse quite well.

Even when you do contact them all they are going to tell you is that it was shipped on time and if it doesn't reach you for some reason to THEN get in touch with them..... then you will disconnect from chat and sit there staring at your tracking info.

With that said, I cannot wait until I just walk into a Best Buy this weekend and can pick one up if I feel like it because they have thousands of the things all over the place.
After giving all of us so much crap for buying on release day... you want to go and buy it the day after release day?

Looks like both DCU and Planetside 2 are free for the PS4. Either of them worth downloading?

I was just stating I hope after all this foaming at the mouth stuff that one can easily walk in and go buy one. Everyone worried that the tracking information is right, all the hype, all the standing in lines, for...a platform shooter because that's the only game that is getting any decent reviews. It's like buying a GTX 770 to play space invaders. With that said, I understand the new shiny. I am sure you will have a blast with it. The hype for this, considering it's already three years old and not even catching up to today's tech, astounds me.

I am going to laugh when 4k becomes a standard in 3 years just as developers are figuring out how to develop on this platform.

4k is not going to be the standard in people's living rooms for a lot longer than 3 years. Most HD broadcasts aren't even true 1080p. These consoles are going to be just fine for their expected lifetime.

I worked at fedex, packages are loaded in the morning. When they're being loaded, each box is scanned, which automatically updates the tracking to "out for delivery". So if it doesn't say that by like 10:00am, chances are you're not getting it today.

Considering how recent the investments for full HD have been in broadcasting, the infrastructure needed to broadcast 4k content all the way to the end user, the current DVD vs BluRay situation or the current 4k equipment rate in movie theaters, you better be ready to wait a while before 4k becomes the norm. Remember that the first HDTV sets available for consumers in the US got released in the late '90s so it took a decade from there to become some sort of standard. Also remember that the FIFA world cup was broadcasted in HD in 1990! It took the better of 20 years to become the broadcasting standard.
