this is the current black OLED vita, not the new white LED vita coming out early next year in NA which has better battery life but possibly not as good screen and layout. I just got one because I signed up for the AMEX offer earlier, I have 2 years of PS+ now (for ps4) so may as well let the vita ride the free games, and maybe once in a while it'll be nice having remote play for ps4. Like playing Assassins Creed on the toilet.

You could also buy a 240GB ssd for the same price, which is probably better heat wise but I'd rather be slightly slower and have 2x the storage.

I bought a 240 intel SSD on Amazon black friday for $85. I threw that in the PS4. I'm not a typical download gamer. I like to buy my games on physical medial. As a direct result, I won't mind deleting games from the hard drive when I'm done playing. As long as it maintains the save file (on the cloud or on a USB card), all is good as far as I'm concerned. Delete delete delete.

That article is so completely useless. It's just speculating on facts that are already known for the most part. The actual worthwhile numbers aren't there -- actual consoles sold for each system both in the US and globally. It's only partial or implicit information.

It is pointing out the number of ways those facts are being spun. Which was my point. And his conclusion is correct to. Games will determine if one shoots ahead of the other in the early part of 2014. NPD numbers will be out eventually.

Both consoles are doing very well. PS4 is slightly ahead but it's currently sold out everywhere in the US. You can look at the relative demand by looking at what resalers are getting for it. The XB1 is selling for under MSRP andthe PS4 is selling at $130 more than MSRP.

I don't know what onslaught means exactly but this is certainly not an onslaught.

PS4 hasn't even released in Japan yet. Just wait until the japs get their systems and all those glorious games from nippon start coming out in 2014/2015.
