There is no way to button mash against a skilled opponent.

Everything can be blocked, or combo broke. It's backed by reaction, not some blind system of this will work 30% of the time...

Only unblockable attacks are the ones you throw yourself into i.e. Punish on block, and even those can be combo broke.

Dude in thr video (producer I presume) was even saying it that if you just mash something to react you've got decent odds.

But hopefully our host is game for a real match on Wednesday, perhaps my tune will change versus an experienced player. Although I doubt it will.

Hes talking about combo breaking, and those odds are abysmal since there is 3 choices, and if you select the wrong combo break then you open yourself up for insane damage,

There were 4 people there besides myself - the host who owns the XB1 was taking meal time to setup maps and such for part 2 of our Shadowrun session. Rest of us hadn't touched an XB1 previously, don't even think the guys console at all - only my wife did out of the 3.

I'd imagine he's decent.

Dunno, new KI is pretty deep and fun. You cannot button mash your way to victory vs anyone with a clue, and not even usually against normal PC.

I had fun with KI the day Xbone came out, then I got a horrible thumb blister and havent played it again. I think the lack of a way to unlock characters through gameplay turned me off. When I realized that my KI points were solely for fashion items and that I had to toss a few bucks at microsoft to get a second character to pley I went 'meh'.

In contrast I bought Peggle 2 and had a blast playing through its levels without having to worry about the need to fork over additional money.

KI really isn't a micro transactions game.

The free version is essentially a demo which every game on earth does, then they give you the choice to buy the full game, or single DLC characters for it.

Full game is way cheaper then any of the exclusive launch titles for a game that is better then all of them.

Will it be a true micro transaction game later? possibly

Bitching about paying to unlock characters in KI is fucking retarded because KI is free and all the additional characters are only $20 - much less than a normal retail game.

Thank you for clearing that up. When the devs decide this is a good idea and add 30 more characters with 10 outfits each and you have to spend another $100 you'll see what I mean.

I might be old fashioned but with the exception of these "day one" dlcs I've never spent a dime buying a dlc. Maybe digital expansions but that's not really the same.

I seriously doubt KI will have that many characters. Its still a fighter not League of Legends.

Even if they do its pretty clear they are charging 20 bucks for any additional expansions which is still cheaper then even SF4.

Digital expansions for the multi player games are the same LOL, are you that much of a sheep that you cant tell what these game companies are doing?

BF4 season pass cost as much as the damn game, and they pretty much force you to buy those new maps if you want to play with your friends.
