This actually sounds like a good filler game to play if you've ran out of stuff on your Xbone:Zoo Tycoon Review - Chimpin' Ain't Easy | Reviews | The Escapist

While its fun only lasts so long, it lasts longer than most of the games available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at launch. Zoo Tycoon may not look like a contender to the uninitiated, but fans of the series will already vouch for its legitimacy, and those who have already picked it up will likely agree that it's one of the more satisfying Xbox One titles on the market. Easy to get into, but with just enough nuance and depth to keep one invested for a while, Zoo Tycoon inevitable limitations won't overwhelm what is an impressive little sim.

took killzone and nba 2k14 to gamestop today and got $80 in trade in credit, and promptly bought 3 steam cards with that for stocking suffers. since I basically paid $40 each for em when amazon was doing its b2g1 sale, I basically got to play em for free. and thats all killzone was worth, $0. gamestop is giving $40 for all xbone/ps4 launch titles until friday, so if you have any that you think suck may wanna dump em when the resale value is still high. you can buy amazon or steam GCs at gamestop.

Behold a true masterpiece, PC peasants:

publishers? Mind you, he was one of the top designers on Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Halo Reach. The publishers rattle off the excuses: "'They don't buy a lot of games.' 'They buy one game a year.' 'Console gamers literally are too dumb to play this kind of game.'

Wait. did you catch that one?

There are a few key differences. What we are talking about here is primarily a slow-paced experience, where you need to move slowly and take your time, making your shots count. Running and gunning or bunny hopping will get you killed. There is no regenerating health or cover systems, and no jumping into a fighter jet, it's all down to your skill, your rifle, and your teamwork.
If there's one complaint I have about modern FPS games it's that they're too slow. They butchered the controls of the classic FPS to make them playable with a joystick. Everything about his pitch sounds like generic squad FPS game where as gameplay like:

hasn't been around since quake 3.

Doom 3, Quake 4, Painkiller (1 & 2) and I'm sure there's a few more. Problem is the incredibly competitive PC FPS gamers perceived those games as inferior (which is true) and they were too fast for console gamers.

I didn't play the painkiller games but doom3 is nothing like Q3. I might have to try Q4's multiplayer.

As much as I hate to agree with doomsayers, this graphic from the xbox KI page is a little concerning. For the purchase options is specifies you get the "Season 1" characters, etc so the question comes as to what the cost will be for the future season content and if things do get changed to make them mandatory buys for competitive play even outside of just getting them so your opponents are fighting against a character they won't be familiar with and the change in meta that alone will make

KI is really nothing but dial a combos, paper/rock/scissors and eye candy.
And so spoketh the local authority on all things related to fighter games.

While you are around, did you play Drop Kick? I wondered if it's a joke or if there is tactical elegance in its simplicity.

More elegant way of saying it than I did, thank you.

Also update here since I was in Gamestop tonight (BF4 PS3 for $30 counting my coupon so I'll have it on PS3 + 4 in a few minutes for $10 more) - they quoted their XBoxOne stock as "over a half dozen for the past week" and that the PS4's they got in last week were sold out within 20 min of opening. I love the PS3 -> PS4 upgrade deal as a trophy hound, gotta love doubling trophies for $10 more (And doing everything twice, but eh, stuff I enjoy I run extra accounts to do again anyhow - i.e. ME2/3, DA series, Souls series, AC4, etc)

Food for thought. And remember, MD is a big money, big spending at the holidays state. And this is likely the highest traffic Gamestop besides the local mall (Towson Town Center) being that their location catches a ton of major throughways and shares a lot with WalMart and Target for the area.

Dial a combos were started with KI, so it would make sense that they brought that over. Huge difference is you can do resets at any time in a combo with there new instinct system there fore making whatever you want. Not true of the old system.

Paper/rock/scissors would imply that the system is based off guessing when a low/medium/fierce combo break are based off what you see in the game. Medium breaks medium etc, there is no guessing.
In fact if you guess wrong you are punished for it.

Eye Candy, well I should hope so.

Game has a great high low game outside of its core mechanics.

If this guy is your authority then you are in allot of trouble...

Slippery slope my ass. We tumbled down that fucker awhile ago. Season passes, DLC, Map packs. You can't just buy a fucking game anymore for 60 bucks. The days of playing a game like RTCW and getting free content like new maps are long fucking gone.

Please explain how a 20 dollar game is raping your wallet?

based off that it will be 20 bucks when they add 8 more characters.

They haven't even balanced, or released the first 8 yet. By the time they introduce 8 more characters you can be sure that it will be for a re-balanced version like every other fighting game on the planet.

I guess you would have rathered Double Helix launch there fighting game at 60 bucks, charge you for costume packs like Sf4 did, and still charge you for the expansion DLC...
