It's a cool idea but I'd be a little annoyed if I bought the game and had to hunt the demo down to get a 'full' experience.

Neat but I hope the microtransactions are more optional than the vibe I'm getting from that.

How do you even get that vibe? it said you can buy a currency, that you can get by letting your 3DS sleep for 8 hours; for whatever price they decide.
It's not like they're going to make a boss thatrequiresyou to have 3 sleep points, if you're short then welp.. better not touch your 3DS for 24 hours or pay $4.99 to beat it now.

That's kind of my worry is that it'll be "Hey, you need these - wait a very long time or cough up cash" that will turn it into a 1-2 hr a day play if you don't pay for it.

Hopefully just paranoia though.

That is justified paranoia imo. Most android games are designed just like that. It was the first thing I noticed as well. That can be a total non-issue or a extremely frustrating money grab on their end. Encounters that require 2-3 points to realistically kill means you either have to progress at a snails pace, or fork over some more money.

My hope is that the points are for casuals. People that may not be very good at rpgs that could use a big boost on a encounter they are struggling with.

Yeah it always cracks me up when I see some cheap little game that asks you to grind for dozens or hundreds of hours to unlock weak shit. My wife has a doodling game where people guess what you draw and you get coins. If you get a hundred coins you can unlock colors. It takes dozens of games to unlock each color or you pay a buck for a fucking color...

Sounds like "Draw Something". It was a game that started off on the computer. Probably 10 years ago. I met a chick through it and fucked her. Good times.

Haha, no. She lived up in Schenectady New York. She was 18 at the time and I was 22. I drove a few hours up to her house (she lived with her parents) to "hang out" for the day. We stayed at my motel room for the night. I'm pretty sure her name was Kira.

If I recall, we had a game and I "drew" my AIM name. She reached out and then we started to talk for real. Then there were a lot of phone calls and finally, the trip to New York.

Shit, I hadn't even thought about her in years. Thanks for the memory.
