This thread is pretty much about anything and everything now. Fucks given = 0.

Played through a lot of the new AC4 DLC yesterday (have 1 mission left), really good stuff. That is how you properly do DLC. Felt reminiscent of the Fallout 3/NV DLCs, except with a stand alone character.

Also really glad to have something to play on my PS4 again, AC4 on it is just gorgeous as fuck. I do still need to finish Killzone too I guess, only played a little into it before getting distracted by other stuff.

The Adewale Freedom Cry DLC Is all 9 missions at once. It's a complete experience.

The Season pass = Freedom Cry + some skins and crap + some multiplayer DLC. IE, it's utterly useless and a waste of $20. Just buy the $10 stand alone Freedom Cry DLC.

Yeah, Freedom Cry is a one off. The AC4 season pass is kinda shitty. I think it also contains all of the pre-order bonus single player missions that were spread out, but the one I played from my pre-order was pretty pointless.

It's also only a 20% discount, which means that buying it all separately on the store would be $25 and if you don't care about the multiplayer stuff at all then it's probably cheaper to buy all the "single player content" separately over the season pass. Though really, the only thing you probably should buy is Freedom Cry.

Just went and finished Freedom Cry 100%, pretty good stuff. Definitely recommend buying it.

I do have one gripe though - I fucking hate games that only give you the best stuff after 100% finishing it. For Freedom Cry specifically, the best gun in the game. Like, what's the point? I'm not going to go fuck around with it after I've done every single thing that I could possibly do, especially in a little one-off DLC area. It seems absolutely pointless. If you're going to make cool/awesome stuff put it in the game at a point where I could actually use and have fun with it.

Heh, so I was looking through the AC4 trophies and checking the percentages on them - Sony has this new thing that shows how rare a trophy is and how many people have them.

Only 91.8% of PS4 AC4 owners have completed Sequence one. That's weird. And the number starts dropping off dramatically from there. S2 - 73.4%, S3 - 56.9%, and only14.1%have completed Sequence 13 and beaten the game.

Also looking at the MP trophies - almost no one has played multiplayer at all. The highest MP trophy percent is 5.4%. What an absolute waste of a mode and AC should never have had MP.

Yea the %s are interesting stuff - all the non 0.1%ish MP ones take like 10-15 min to do too.

What blows my mind is that there are so many people that will grind shit that they don't want to do just for the sake of a trophy.

I did that for a few games, but realized it was pretty stupid for others. For example, I wanted to get 100% in all of the Uncharted games, but then realized that I despise multi-player of it. So I'll never get the platinum trophy for Uncharted 2 or 3.

Oh well.

Star Ocean for PS3 was the only game I ever wanted to Platinum, and I attempted it for awhile - but the Platinum for that game is pretty rough and I gave up, although I still think it's one of the better RPGs of the last few years. I enjoy trophies but I don't aim to get them, they just happen now.

I've always held that mp achievements/trophies should have no effect on being able to 1000/Platinum a game. People that don't mp or have net connection shouldn't be penalised because of it.

I love 100%ing games, because I tend to want to do every thing you can in a game anyways. However, retarded tacked on MP achievements I just say fuck it to and if a game does that I just won't do them.

Yeah, it's dumb as fuck. Tacked on MP should never have achievements/trophies tied to the game and I refuse to participate in that bullshit just to get a Platinum or 1000/1000 and it really irks me.

The Last of Us, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Far Cry 3, etc's MP nonsense is a complete waste of resources that could have went to something else too. It's so stupid.

Fucking Naughty Dog and Ubisoft.

For me it's not even tacked on MP. I like fps and tps games but mostly play them for the story then move on since I can't be assed dealing with the douchebags online so I'll never 100% shit like Cod or Gears, problem for devs is there are many more people that play those and don't even look at the SP portion so they have just a valid a complaint about having to play SP to 100% as well. Fuck, even things like WoW have the issue of "I PvX, I shouldn't have to PvY to get gear"......it's to the point that going to singleplayer or multiplayer only is the only way to fix this (non)issue

Well, my biggest issue is MP being on games that have no business having a tacked on MP component like the ones I listed.

And games like CoD should just accept what they are cut out their SP completely.
