Uncharted's already been confirmed for PS 4. Crash Bandicoot was an immensely popular Playstation series so I could see why a revival would be of interest to a lot of people. I don't really see how GTA V being ported to PS 4 is significant either.

In the UK Carsh Bandicoot could be considered of "massive significance". I mean at some point they tried to make Crash the mascot of the PlayStation (at least in Euope), the answer to Nintendo's Mario and Sega's Sonic... That did not work so well, probably because the PlayStation already had a mascot in Japan: Toro, the humanoid cat of Dokodemo Issho (Everywhere together... a conversation game that is impossible to localize).

EDIT: Dragon Quest would be massively significant for Japan, but not for Europe.

Should have been launch titles.
Yes, everything great should be launch titles. All the new systems have had the same issue.

Nintendo was busy making games for the 3DS (development teams are separated by game franchise, not device) - (this is another issue they probably should have waited to release Wii U until they had some first party games ready), and they wanted to give 3rd Parties an open launch window since they had complained in the past they couldn't compete with Nintendo launch titles. That strategy failed after Ubisoft was the only company that released non shoddy ports - bad mistake for Nintendo to make, 3rd parties have already told them to fuck off years ago so they may as well do the same to 3rd parties from here on out.

That's awesome. Liked it after picking it up on a Steam sale and will be nice to have an updated / retooled version on PS4 too.

Removing Kinect and knocking $100 off the price would be the smart move, but I'd rather watch them stubbornly stick to their piece of shit gimmick and crash and burn in the most spectacular way possible.

If they don't drop the price by the end of E3 I'm not sure they'll be able to recover from the out of control tail spin. On the other hand, maybe that means steeper discounts sooner to try and reinvigorate sales? Maybe we'll get some good Christmas bundles... (probably not)

Microsoft has a lot of issues to address across all their products. They aren't going anywhere soon but they could certainly find themselves Blackberry'd if they aren't careful.

Shame because I don't want Sony go without competition and Nintendo doesn't count. Pains me to say that, fuck me I loved Nintendo games as a kid, but its true.

I don't want to see Sony without competition either but Microsoft only learns from massive failures. If the Xbone manages to stay even with the PS4, not much will change. It needs to go down in flames ME or Vista-style if you want to see the next one be the hardware equivalent of Windows XP or 7.

Plus, they fucking deserve it for their arrogance in clinging to a shitty gimmick few people liked last gen, in continuing to screw over consumers when it comes to peripherals, for trying to make a media center instead of a gaming machine, and for all the other retarded ideas they came up with last year at E3.

Isn't Nadella a much stronger Enterprise / Business tools guy? It would seem MS may choose to go the way of IBM, at least partially, and new guy might want to prove value and 'optimize' some operations.

Pretty much this. It is far better that Microsoft go down in flames in a glorious manner than it is for them to limp along maintaining some sort of status quo.

I don't think Nintendo should be counted out yet though, they just need to accept that the WiiU was a mistake and move on and keep being Nintendo.

But I want Nintendo to give up on the Wii shit and just make their games for real consoles.

The world does not need three home consoles, especially when one of them is the herp-a-derp machine that lags the better part of a generation behind the others and doesn't contribute anything to the industry except terrible gimmicks.
