The allusions to MAGA and counter woke culture are so lazy and one dimensional in this show. I feel like the script just includes buzzwords for the sake of liberal zeitgeist. Script feels like it was pushed through woke AI.

It being that on the nose is the point. Everyone knows its over the top but Homelander loves it and everyone is scared shitless of him lol. Like the Freedom Center forcing people to watch films where Homelander is the hero on the daily, its retarded but it plays into his vanity.

"No guys it's not just making fun of Trump, the fact that it's an over the top portrayal is the point, thats the joke! We just happen to make the joke about a megalomaniac that we made a Trump allegory the entire time, but thats a wild coincidence!"

I am not at all, I'm saying it's obviously political and trying to say the joke is that it's over the top political doesn't really land at all.

The Black Noir reveal in the comics was really stupid and made zero sense, though. "Lets solve this problem by creating the same problem, only this problem's even worse"
