idk reviews are saying its not actually woke garbage that was fake news, but I don't trust any RT critic or even audience scores they are a direct correlation to the marketing budget.

I will steal this as soon as it releases like all other media and decide after seeing it whether or not I wasted my bandwidth

The review I just watched reinforced the woke garbage ending. It's all true.

Spoilers...

So, I am sitting in my car from just seeing it. I have thoughts.

The movie benifits from not being pigeonholed into past Marvel stories so they don’t have to worry about continuity.

Galactus is super cool and they did a great job portraying just how big of a deal he is.

This felt more like just some random sci-fi movie than a marvel movie. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.

People here will hate the showdown with Galactus, but to my knowledge it follows comic lore pretty okay.

those worried about “woke”, there’s not much really, if anything there’s not anymore than you may have seen in the trailers.

For those that hate Shalla-Bal as the surfer, fear not, she’s not in it much longer than you see her in the trailers.

I’ll stop for now, I don’t want to give spoilers. Overall though…probably the best F4 movie but that bar is super low. Pacing was off and the ending was predictable. I’d give it a 78%.

It felt like a really quick 2 hours (after 30+ minutes of ads and trailers), which is good/bad. There was a lot of stuff in there that felt like it just had no time to breathe at all to the point that the scenes where they did try and pause a beat, they felt weird, if that makes any sense. Totally spot on with the random scifi movie comment. That opening lore dump was really something. Really great action and set pieces for the most part.

I was hoping for a little more from it but will get into that later. Enjoyed everything about Galactus. Was afraid uncanny valley stuff would make Reed's powers seem really stupid, but they did a good job w/ perspective and how they were used that it wasn't a problem, so that was good.

Will post more in a few days when it's settled a bit.

A mother/parent dying to save her child is woke? I mean it’s been a trope throughout all of the history of nonfiction.

I think people forget how strong Sue Storm really is

Anyways the only trash there is Nerdrotic

Agreed, and I knew that would be the case. I blame previous F4 movies for it and also….

That’s what I referred to when I said some here will hate the showdown at the end.

Sounds like it was a 6 out of 10 after hearing the Nerdrotic video.

I’d give it a 7.8 MAYBE an 8.

I think I’d honestly need to watch it again, there’s a lot going on and the pacing of it all is what hampered it the most.

Don't even need to read the past two pages. You all think it's woke. WTF is woke? Screw you all?

It was kinda ok but in the end it was amazing because it made me feel for the characters. Something all movies aspire too.

2 chicks and a baby kill galactus? One chick being a DEI hire gender swap?

No. To both, really.

The first didn’t happen (like…that’s not even close to what happened) and as for the second, Shalla-Bal was a surfer at one point in the comics. Not long, but it happened.

I saw this today in 3D, and I really really enjoyed it. It's emotional, but only because I'm a father. I don't think people who aren't parents will care.

There are 2 end credit scenes. The first is a mid credit, that leads towards a future movie.
The second is after everything, and it's really not worth waiting for. It does nothing to further the movie or give a glimpse of the future.

To be clear, Shalla Bal as Silver Surfer's wife has existed since the 60s.

Shalla Bal as Silver Surfer herself happened in 2000, and significantly predates the Jonathan Hickman run the movie gets a lot of its inspiration from (like Sue as Super Politician) starting in 2009.

(Comic) Shalla Bal as Silver Surfer only appeared in like 2 issues, and was just another 'Let's come up with wacky alternative timelines', not 'Let's permanently replace those damned white men! (until the sales collapse)'.

Your opinion on why they chose her as the Silver Surfer for the MCU may vary.

Looking at the age of Pascal I don't see how they're going to try to pull ANOTHER origin story off... But that would be a decent backstory for them.

But also if they're really trying to somehow do "retro" that's mostly the opposite of the Ultimates U motif., Even though they have stolen tons of the Ultimate Universe for the movies already.
They did a good job of this. It wasn't a traditional origin story. The characters already had their power, then later explained how they got that power. They also briefly recapped early fights in the Fantastic Four comic books, allowing new characters to be introduced as though they were already known. They did a really good job with that.

They used a woman for some woke girl power points instead of using the Iconic Silver Surfer every comic fan actually wanted to see.
