*Edit* Stadium food, in general, is usually delightful. I'm not sure if it's the food itself, or the environment in which you're consuming it, however.
The minor league baseball team I go watch each summer has a great food selection, and cheap. Cheap beer, too. $4 for the aluminum bottles.

They have a bacon cheeseburger they serve on a split Krispy Kreme donut that serves as the bun. I've only had one, and that was enough, but it was a taste sensation.

Has Andy Reid been observed ordering a dozen of these?

You guys talking about cheap Whoppers got me all reminiscent. Back in 1999 we would get 39 cent cheeseburgers from Burger King for lunch everyday because we were poor kids that blew all our money on video games and drugs, we used to refer to them as 39 cent burnt assholes because of how horrible they were. Better times my friends, better times.

Back when I was in college(late 90s), the local McDonalds had some sort of crazy promotion once where you could buy 5 Big Macs for $5. So of course I order that and attempt to eat them all. 4 1/2 Big Macs is my limit in 1 sitting. The next day was not pleasant.

The same McDonalds(WTF was wrong with this place?) also ran a promotion of $2 20-piece chicken mcnuggets. Ordered 3 when they ran that promotion, and 57 mcnuggets is my limit(so close) in 1 sitting (the next day also sucked, again)

Our go-to drunk food in college though was Hardees Monster Burgers and Monster Roast Beef. Both were ridiculous, Monster burger was something like two 1/3 lb patties, 4-5 slices of cheese, and about 4 pieces of bacon + mayo and ketchup. The Monster roast beef was badass though, 1/2 pound of roast beef + 3-4 slices of cheese + 8 (EIGHT!) slices of bacon. Pretty sure thats about 1/3 - 1/2 a lb of bacon. Thing was awesome.

haha, yeah I remember when they did the 2 big mac combos for $2.99. That was probably the last time I ate at McDonald's.

In the mid 90s McDs in the midwest ran a wintertime promotion where you could buy one Quarter Pounder and get a second for the price of the noontime temperature the previous day (in Fahrenheit). Those were some bitter cold winters in Iowa around that time and it was often the case that the temperature at noon was sub-zero resulting in free burgers.

It wasn't so bad because since this was a McDs in Iowa they sourced their meat fairly locally and the quality was really damn high as was the quality of the cheese so these were not painful experiences at all but actually tasty with no ill aftereffects. Even though we think of these national chains as monoliths of uniformity there really is quite a bit of regional variation.

McCheese, I saw this on Facebook and thought I'd run it past our RR test mule before I attempted to make it. I await your detailed review.

Pull Apart Pizza Bread

Ingredients

2 Cans of pizza dough or biscuits
2 cups mozzarella cheese (or your favorite cheese)
2 tablespoons of a really good Italian seasoning or parsley flakes
? cup olive oil
1 - 8 oz package of pepperoni (we used the turkey)
1 cup Parmesan cheese
Optional: Add a ? teaspoon of fresh garlic or garlic powder (it's amazing)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Cut pizza dough or biscuits into quarters
Cut the pepperoni into smaller pieces
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and toss so that the oil is spread evenly on each piece of dough
Bake for about 30 minutes (or until the top is brown and the center is thoroughly cooked) TIP: Be sure to check it in the middle before you pull it out. If the middle is still not cooked thoroughly be sure to leave it in another 5 minutes at a time until it's done.
Flip over on to a plate while it's still hot.
Serve with a side sauce and enjoy!
Made this today. Loved it. Had a fantastic nap.

You guys are no help! I had to use Google to find a cheesesteak and chose what seemed to be local reviewers mostly and had a very high rating. It was between dallesandros and a place called Cosmis deli and I picked cosmis because it was closer, and it was terrible

I hate to say it but the best cheese steaks I have eaten were in California. I was also unimpressed with the ones I had in Philadelphia. I went to Jim's steaks in a fairly ghetto neighborhood and got one with cheese whiz and one with provolone. I would have traded either of them for the ones I used to eat in northern California.

You ever go to Buster's in North Beach? Pretty damn good.

Yep, I was a senior in HS in 96, and 10 crunchy tacos at Taco Bell came to $4.20 after tax at my local Taco Bell. Fitting, really.
